the coaching staff finally have found a position where Crawford can play at a high level. also Crawford has also embraced his role on this team which is great for the team.

Love how Crawford is playing right now. Gosh though, we always seem to be so close to a sack and the quarterback gets it away. It's the worst feeling. How does that keep happening?

Our pass rush crew in Dec (Hopefully all healed)

Lawrence, Melton, Crawford, Spencer.

Short yardage crew lol
Mincey, Brent, McClain, Selvie.

Ok I'll stop playing around. Tuesdays are boring.

It's ironic sometimes players get the idea that they should play one position over another.

Crawford didn't want to play DT he wanted to play DE, but DT is where he can excel. Ratliff never wanted to play DE, which probably would have extended his career.

In a 4-3, he's always been a better prospect as a DT than DE. He's in the mold of Chad Hennings. Not enough quickness to play DE, but almost ideal as a DT..

What we're seeing appears to be the very low end of the spectrum for him. It's really nice to hear that he's embracing the position. Can't wait to see how he continues to develop.

I would like to see him play next to Melton more.

Hard to do when both are ideal 3-Tech DTs. What we need is more Crawford at the 3-Tech DT and an impact DE to go along side him. Then the line would be dynamic. If we continue winning, look for JJ to make a Charles Haley type trade to get that DE that puts us over the top. My guess is we're still hoping Demarcus Lawerence is going to be that player, but a rookie that's missed this much time isn't going to help this year. I looking for trade possibilities in the near future.

Thank goodness the coaching staff realized what I've been saying all year .

Glad they finally are figuring this out. I wanted them to put him at one position or the other. Hated them moving him back and forth. I think that's only detrimental to a players development. But they are the coaches, so had to do they they did.
Anyway, as hindsight, just think if he was at DT all through camp. Now, doesn't mean he would be a beast still, but the learning curve would been shortened.

Anyway, glad they did the right thing, and keep it moving forward.

I give them credit for figuring out that he's better at DT. Hopefully, we've got a foundational piece of the defensive line for the future as we need all the answers at that spot that we can get.

I'd next like to solidify the long-term starter at the 1T so the only part we need to worry about would be pass rush.
