DMN Watkins Blog: Observations from late practice..(Mosley, too)

Mosley's report is funny, because other accounts say Parcells has barely even watched Henson when he takes his snaps.

that brings up a nice, little story about Aaron Glenn, Aaron Glenn one day in practice was fielding punts, I think this was when he was with the Jets w/ Parcells as the coach, Parcells was on the other end of the field, during the drill Aaron dropped the kick, and thought since that Parcells was on one end of the field, that he wouldn't notice, but sure enough, once Glenn picks up his head, he sees Parcells glaring at him from the other end of the field...

in short, BP sees all, his attention to detail, and knowing every working part of his team is 2nd to none, so I doubt he doesn't pay attention to one of his prime prospects, and has been carefully monitoring everything that Henson has done, even the minutest details

Then Parcells has done a great job of hiding his delight with the strides Henson has made, because he has done nothing but deride him since he played against the Bears.

but deride is such a strong word ;)

seriously, if you think BP hasn't been paying attention, then there's alot about BP you need to learn, from all the established reports, being in the dark about something on his team is just not in his nature

I am not saying that Parcells hasn't noticed, I am just saying I don't think he has been too impressed. And I am sure throwwing ducks at wide open receivers like he supposedly did today isn't going to change that.

let's just to presume to know what Parcells is thinking

Offensive tackle Flozell Adams once again ran on the side with strength and conditioning coach Joe Juraszek.

I still think he'll be ready to go soon, but it's almost painful to watch him run. This guys's supposed to anchor your offensive line, and he can't even get on the field.

He may not come out and say it, but I guarantee you Bill Parcells is upset about this.

Here is some video...certainly doesn't look as bad as Mosley is suggesting.

My personal policy is to never interview a man wearing navy spandex tights, but several reporters closed in on him after practice.

I guess no one will be talking to Juke... :)

Probably is an irrelevant point, but your statement reminded me of Parcells' treatment of Phil Simms during Simms' early years. Parcells was tough (if not brutal) with Simms.

I guess it is possible that we are seeing elements of a similar sort of thing now between Parcells and Henson. Parcells likes "moxy" in players and perhaps is engaging in some head games to create some for Henson.

(Disclaimer: I'm not a big Henson fan and don't harbor a lot of hope for him. Just speculating....)

Well no matter what "games" are being played with whom... if Bledsoe gets hurt-- I think we're toast.

Probably so. That's how it usually happens when the #1 QB goes down and it isn't like Romo or Henson inspire much confidence.

"Why are you not worried about guys being out in California, and going out?

Because they have a curfew.

And players have never missed curfews?

Well, if they do it will cost them $18,000 fine. If you think its worth it, take me with you. - Bill Parcells"
