You can wear a walking boot for about 4 weeks, and I think a surgical procedure that can be done and that would put him in a cast for 8-12 weeks. Also, I think plenty of rest can take care of the problem.

Are you REALLY gonna panic because Roy isn't over his foot injury in MARCH, joe??

Has it occurred to you that he still has 5 months to get healthy, hoss?? I hardly think that this news rated a "Yikes" in the title... then again, you put "woohoo" in the title of a thread that brought as the completely relevant news that NT Sammie Lee Hill played baseball in high school, before he focused on football...

Yeah, that's certainly "woohoo" news... I sometimes think you put stuff like that in the title to get folks to read your threads...

My problem with his "injury" is he downplayed and threw everyone he could reach under the bus for his poor production. My next question is did he have surgery? If not then why didn't he. If he did he should be off it anyways.

Yes. The question is: Is he a bad apple or not? I usually opt for patience, but attitude has a lot to do with it.

to be honest i'd rather Romo be working with Austin & the other WR's and let Roy get fit and rest his foot some more. This does nobody any good IMO.

Luckily Tony worked a lot with Miles and Sam while backing up Bledslow, so they have some "chemistry" already. He and Crayton have also worked together a lot in the last 2.5 seasons and we know that he and Witten are tight, so really getting some timing down with #11 is pretty critical IMO.

Still, they should get plenty of reps together in the mini-camps, training camp and the pre-season.

It is interesting that the foot that according to Roy "didn't limit him" during the season seems to be limiting him now. Then again, I guess he did later back off his original comments made after the season in which he seemed to suggest that Wade had just used the foot injury as an excuse for his lack of production.

His personality and attitude remind me a lot of a player having just got his "payday".

I sure hope his focus wasn't just on getting that money and getting out of Detroit.

And if by possibility he is exactly that, think he would have come here had he known TO would be leaving? Something about him just screams to me that he doesn't want to be the #1 guy and put in that required effort. Honestly, he seems like a real whiny, lazy ***.

I'm the eternal optimist. I wake up Christmas morning to a pile of horse ****, you better believe I'll be digging for that pony.

And I was so pumped over the trade for Williams.

Right now, I'm really concerned now. I don't like what I've seen or heard from Williams from day one.

I'm hoping for the best.

Feeling the same way.

To me it is great news that he isn't cutting yet.

It helps explain just how banged up he was last year and why his production was so bad.

Now I can put on my cowboys colored glasses, drink some kool-aid and see him make that trade look smart.

He has talent and he has certainly never looked as bad as he did late last season. Perhaps now we know why and it wasn't because he was too dumb to learn the offense.

I agree...the only issue is that he'd better be cutting two months from now...he needs to be fully healed going into June, I think.

Then why did he tell everyone it was not his injury but the offense for his poor showing. He even said it doesn't hurt that bad and he is 100%.

Yep, and he's not going to try and do something too soon and make the injury worse.

But the sky is falling. We should get under cover.

Now, don't go throwing reality into this. According to some, he was healthy and open all the time.
