Do Bosa, Hardy, Norman and Joseph make us a contender?

This is the question lingering in my mind in this state of hysteria that today's news has brought me. Think of it. By the end of next week this could very well be a possibility. And you don't have to stretch the imagination.

Eatman said on Cowboys break that the Cowboys got a report on Norman that didn't put him playing great at CB in a positive light. You can get Norman to take a lot of the guess work out of that.

Bosa was already considered that high in the draft so this is not a reach. Even if he's a left DE only.

All has been argued and said about Hardy but him returning to the kind of player he can be as a LE for us has to be the least bit intriguing to anyone.

Then adding Joseph in the 2nd round. Who I think can be one of the best safeties in the league.

At this very moment, this is still a possibility. Not even regarding what other picks we use in the 3rd and 4th. Does this make us a contender at this moment? ........................If Romo stays healthy of course.

The only thing Dallas would be contending for would be most games lost to suspension along the DL.

We've seen how great it has worked out by taking risks, why not add some more by bringing Hardy back and using a prime pick on Bosa.

So we'd be overpaying for CB and taking back a complete head case in Hardy. I'm out on that

Here is the best scenario...

Draft Zeke, he still helps this team more than any 1st round defensive player in the draft.
With the suspension of both our projected starting DE's, now is the time to sign Hardy, not draft Bosa or Buckner.
Sign Norman so that takes Ramsey out of the equation. Plus we have 2. Defensive players we know will be better than a rookie.
Draft Joesph in the 2nd round if he is the BPA unless Lynch is there. Or, unless a better player is there on the draft board.
I think though, with signing Norma, you put Jomes at FA, then Church / Wilcox will be better, as they play a true SS in the box.

People forget Carr was a very good CB when we signed him. The pass rush makes any CB better. Norman is a good player but wouldn't be the same player without pressure on the QB. Build the pass rush and the secondary will improve dramatically

Does CBs benefit from pass rush. ..yes but Norman would be successful without the pass rush of Carolina. He shuts down recievers 1 on 1, period. He made some beautiful plays on the ball when the QB had time and made an accurate throw. Anybody saying Norman was only good because of pass rush didn't watch him play

That's like a team saying they shouldn't draft a great RB because they have a weak o-line anyways... well now they're completely screwed lol. Getting a great CB like Norman will help the pass rush. If guys aren't open down field it gives our rushers more time to get to the QB. I'd love to see us go after Norman... especially with his and OBJ's rivalry... whooo

Thanks for the common sense. Not to mention that Bosa and Hardy already give us a better pass rush than Carolina had not even adding Gregory and Lawrence post suspension.

People here don't realize Carolina struggled some on the pass rush last season and had to blitz a lot plus add the now retired Jared Allen mid season.
