Do CB and safety become a priority over pass rush?

We do need pass rush but we also need some DB's that won't give up 3 step drop passes down after down that don't allow our pass rush to ever have enough time to get there.

Our defense looks like a complete mess but if our offense can hold onto the football then im sure our D wont be any worse than last year.

If we're going to get a legit pass rusher then it's going to come through a trade. DB will come through the draft.

My bet was the 1st rounder was going to be a secondary player anyway.

The defense needed upgrading but a total deconstruction when you do next to nothing to upgrade in free agency is not that intelligent.

no way and hope not.
we have enough bodies.
brown, oscan, new guy, mcfadden (who played some last year)

improved pass rush > better backfield
improved pass rush automatically improved the dbs.

I just posted the same thing in the Claiborne to Jets thread. We need zone corners with athleticism, awareness and ball skills. Mo and Carr were terrible at that.

Gimme a CB who can return punts and I'll be happy. I don't want another Mike Jenkins, Mo Claiborne. If he ends up not being a great CB then at least maybe he can be a great returner. All in on Adoree Jackson!

I really don't know what's going on. Letting everyone go and then not signing anyone? Are we planning on having a roster full of UDFAs?

It really makes me curious how other teams manage the cap compared to us. Maybe irs because the boss's son is in charge of our cap.

I highly doubt we're going to find a cornerback tandem better than Claiborne and Carr as rookies, especially since we're going to be picking near the end of each round and given the fact it usually takes corners years to develop. Anthony Brown is about to get the Carr treatment from fans once he's getting lit up due to being forced to cover other team's number 1s and having virtually no pass rush and inexperienced safety play once Jones leaves the field.

Not sure what the panic is about. The two best corners we had are still on the team. We will probably draft a couple corners and might even sign another. Nothing to panic about IMO. Let the board come to you BPA.

Well you have to have the secondary or the pass rush. I agree with you that the secondary will get most the attention. DL signed Moore and Paea......I don't think other then maybe 1 pick will go to DL if any

I agree but quick passing can negate a pass rush and we allow too many quick passes.
