Will the Cowboys and OL coach Joe Philibin prefer more the Packer type OL ?

Whether FA, trade or NFL draft - - it bears watching how we acquire OLinemen under Joe Philibin.
so will we target more Packer like Olinemen ?

Looking at past GB Packers OL trench-men, that seems to be the formula.
More so the finesse, tacticians and zone scheme oriented guys instead of power oriented anchor types.?

Josh Sitton
TJ Lang
Jeff Saturday
Bryan Bulaga
David Bakhitian
Corey Lindsley

Now looking at their resumes, these GB guys have been to Pro bowls, but while it worked for the Rodgers
era, can those types work best here with the Cowboys ?

What also may be important is how long will the McCarthy- Philibin be around past 2022.
Is it best to target OL guys that are versatile to fit any scheme and with any coach ?

If they keep trying to run a Green Bay OL the yellow flags will be flying,,, that shyte just works when you're protecting a premier QB and holding is overlooked.

What was so special about the Packers O-line, they were a below average running offense and their QB has one of the quickest releases in the NFL.?

Uh, Bulaga and Lindsley are not "finesse" guys.

If Packers run game was below average, .was it because they had inferior backs,.. OL and run scheme ?
... or was it because they simply did not make it an emphasis because they were so Rodgers pass happy ?

Two of their long term starting RBs Aaron Jones and Eddie Lacy had pretty healthy career rush per carry avg. Jones (5.1) ..and Lacy ( 4.2) ..

At one time had an identity. Big, physical olines that would wear a defense out and run the ball down their throats. The formula works and it should be followed by any oline coach in Dallas.

Just get football players and guys that can block. Good players can fit in any system with the right coaching. As soon as you start drafting for specific fit because you think this guy has the arm length, speed, and size to fit your system over a guy that just produces you're probably following a losing formula.
