that they played a top 3 scrub team and we played a team that is/was expected to make a playoff run. I mean the Rams are beyond awful and everyone knew they would be beyond awful. What's all the Eagles hype about???

To their credit, they played a darn good, albeit flawless game. I know it was against arguably the worst team in all of football, but after a rough last couple of years, they look to be back in top form.

However-what I don't get is that their fans say how we beat a Browns team
that's JV(at best), but somehow they're acting like their team is the Super Bowl champs just after pounding THE RAMS.

Don't they realize too that we pounded the Browns in the DOG POUND? While their win was in THEIR back yard?

They were a top ten offensive and defensive club last year and they're returning enough to make people think they'll do it again. They have a proven coach and a great DC. They have basically owned us for ten years.

They have a pretty good club and they've added to it. Last year was an aberration.

That wasn't his point. I believe he acknowledged(indirectly) that the Eagles will be a force this year.

I believe the pt he was trying to make was that Eagles fans are acting like they're a Super Bowl team just after this ONE game, but they all but act like the Boys did nothing but beat a JV Browns team.

Like I said-both the Rams and Browns are equally bad. So they can't have it both ways.

No they think the Browns suck as bad as the Rams. Anything to convince themselves they are as good as Dallas.

...that we played away and they played at home. It's a lot easier to play a good or "flawless" game against a team like the Rams. We didn't even have our best CB on the field or our 3rd and 4th best WR on the field. Or our best LG.

I see what you're saying but if WE had beat the Rams all we'd be hearing this week is how the win was completely meaningless....

Sorry. It didn't read that way to me. I don't give a rat's butt what their fans think. Most are blind homers. I think we'll beat them but this will be a tough game. Hopefully, we'll get up early and play keep away.

The fans don't play.

formidable opponent than the Rams. Who would you want to face in the Superbowl if it was palyed today? The Rams or the Browns? It wouldn't even be a choice...

It's going to be a tough game though, a true clash of the titans, though only week 1.

Can't say for sure who will win right now, but I did watch an Eagles team that made some mental mistakes and continually let the Rams hang around for 2 quarters when they could've stepped on their throat many times.

If the 'Boys can play like they did against the Browns, meaning controlling the clock to their will and balancing the run and air game with success, they should be fine offensively. If Newman and/or Spencer comes back, then I think the edge swings to the Cowboys.

The Browns though are not equally as bad as the Rams. They have a lot of talent on their team and again.... alot of people expect them to make the playoffs. Anderson, Winslow, Edwards, Lewis... pretty good players..

they played a bottom 3 team but they sure did do everything they should have and did it looking very very solid. im not gonna downgrade them that much because of how they were scheduled.

Egirl fans are delusional trailer trash. Who cares what that pond scum thinks.

.

Very true. They did let them hang around. It was 14-0 early in the 1st quarter and they didn't score their 3rd until that long bomb at the end of the half in which that is where St. Louis just gave up. St. Louis had chance after chance to do something. St. Louis does not have the athletes or coaching to play with Philly. Dallas does. Mcnabb did miss the target many times but his running aspect is what scares me the most about him. We have a knack of giving up those long qb runs.

Not only did they play the Rams, they played them at home. We traveled to Paul Brown Stadium, and beat a team that was considered at the time, the most improved team over the offseason.
