Nonetheless-the Eagles looked pretty darn good. I thought the score would be like 34-21(with one of their scores coming meaningless late in the game). 38-3 is nothing to bark about, no matter the competition.
Never said it did, on the contrary I called the eagles win more impressive.
I dont think mcnabb will have the luxury of wr running wide open 50 yards down the field next week. He will have to be quick and accurate. Those are not his strong points.
Our defense had one of its better games in december against them, unfortunately romo was off early and then injured his thumb and we lost gurode, canty and watkins.
Its a 3 point game. I have no idea who will win. They both are good teams. I know the eagles wont make those big plays down the field though, we just wont let them. They will have to drive the field and earn their points. Mcnabb is not accurate on alot of those types of throws and if you put pressure on him he may get impatient and try and throw the ball down the field and make mistakes.
They certainly are capable of taking the ball on 10 minute drives and scoring but I am willing to bet mcnabb and reid get impatient somewhere. Demarcus ware was fantastic last year against them and ellis has been outstanding historically against runyan. If spencer plays we will have a variety of options to get to mcnabb.
The interesting thing to me is Zach thomas. IF the deep balls are taken away and mcnabb is forced to be methodical he will look to dump to westbrook or throw in the middle of the field to lj smith, Zach thomas is perfect in this role to slow them down.
So if zach can force mcnabb to hold the ball the 5 guys rushing can really cause some problems.
Special teams and turnovers can do us in quickly, obviously. As long as we dont lose the turnover and field position game we have a very good chance.
