He's versatile enough to play TE if necessary which is one of the reasons they'll risk McKeon to waivers and hope to stash him on the PS. Luepke is just far too versatile.

Luepke fulfills more of a current need than the other backs not name Pollard.

I realize this was against not the best competition....but like i said with Deuce, you can only play against whoever is in front of you. He looked really good now after a couple of games experience. More power, more vision, better hands, more comfortable .......he played himself into the 53 i think. And if the Cowboys are dumb enough to try to hide him on the PS, he will get his opportunity somewhere else. Game was huge, really huge for him.

Post game on 105.3 just made it sound like he gets cut...maybe in favor of McKeon. WHAT????? They seem to think that nobody will pick him up, and they will simply sign him back. Why would you take that risk? You need a change of pace RB like him....so of course they will do the wrong thing. And another thing....we still have not seen him with the 1st team OL....are they even gonna consider that when making the decision???

Watch his college tape with NDS and you will see what he can do with the 1st team OL....when he gets holes and isn't having to make his own, he is more amazing then he looked tonite, and can break off some 20 yard runs....he could REALLY be something with our first team.

I watched alot of ndsu games kid is the real deal. If we drop him it will rank as one of the dumbest decisions Jerry has done.

I think this applies to the combo of Deuce and Luepke too. Could even break back out the old I-Formation of the Emmitt & Moose days with Luepke lead blocking for either Pollard or Deuce.
