If watching your hated division Rival make the playoffs after we should be at worst 12-3 more power to you

Whatever gets you through the nite...and offseason

Everybody knows it is our own fault. Pointing the finger of blame anywhere else would be wrong.

if we could kick we would have homefield thru out
If we could block, we would as well.

If we would trust the players to do their job, we would as well.

There's more to it than just the kicking game.

Bottom line....we went 1-3 against NY and WAsh who are both going in ahead of us. The one win was on a coin toss in overtime. NY and WAshington physically dominated us when we were first playing for a chance to win the division and then to secure the upper hand in the wild card race.

Say what you will about the 10-6 record, but when you come in 3rd place in your own division, you seldom make the playoffs or deserve to...beating NY and/or Washington would have been better than beating KC and CArolina...the same 10-6 record would have us in the playoffs if we'd beaten Washington or NY, I'm pretty sure.

Oh my god im not saying im happyy obviously i rather have the playoffs but you guys are talking like we are the niners or the texans the boys played with passion all year and the effort was there all year long.If not for kicking problems and coaching we could have been up there with everyone. Stop bashing the players because they gave it all they got all year. And last week most of you were kissing JJ's *** and now some of you are blaming the season on him. And by the way buddy if not for Roys pick in Philly we wouldnt even be here and his pick last week and all the forced fumbles and big hits so dont point out only the mistakes hes human.

I'm one of the few that believe that we could be a team with only a couple of wins. We have been VERY lucky in MOST of our games.

Playing the way that we played for a majority of the year......I can't say that it was successful.

Home-and-home
NYG/Was/Dal
Giants vs Was 1-1
Giants vs Dal 1-1
Dal vs Was 0-2

When we lost the Monday nighter, it cost us a shot at 11-5 and a playoff spot.

And the blame (and credit for the wins) goes to coaches and players alike.

We were 7-3 then went 3-3 to end the season -if we win tonight- that is NOT good enough- SHOULD NOT BE GOOD ENOUGH. The Denver game we blew on a bad kick and the D screwing up. The Giant game - our O line laid down. The WHOLE team laid down vs the skins. WE DID NOT DESERVE to get in. BOTTOM LINE.

You're right, this is not anyone else's fault except this teams. If we can't get the job done then we don't seserve to make the playoffs. We had many opportunities to get the job done and finish some of the league's best teams, but simply couldn't finish the job in the end. Injuries, playcalling and bad kickers all contributed to us not making the playoffs this year, not the Falcons or Eagles failing to win games today.

We should have NEVER been in this situation in the first place.

The blame is and should be in Dallas.

Obviously it is on Dallas

Do not blame a loss in the second game of the season for our not making the playoffs.
The problems that put us out came out after the Hotel and Henry got hurt. Those two losses are ones that hurt us deeply. The DAT and AL getting hurt pretty much took the middle of the D out; and our LB corps just did not have enough left to compensate.
SO we were bad on the O line and bad at LB- those are weaknesses that can not be fixed on the fly. Our season was pretty much on the rocks after that.

Great post.....

I think people forget about all the losses we've had due to injury. Not just losses.......but losses at critical positions.

Agreed-We're better than NYG and Wash, but unlike them, we didn't take advantage of any of our goldmine of opportunities.

Frankly-the way we played in Dec, we would have had no chance in Tampa.

Why the heck is everyone calling Tampa over-rated? They're gonna feast on Brunell's gimpy knee, Portis' shoulder, and their depleted secondary as well. IOW-they're NOT the Iggles.

Blah, blah, I know you love being the "realist" but having to play our last three division games on the road (including two in December) was a brutal way to end the season. We played the Commanders both times when they were playing well. We didn't get the joy of playing them in their 2-6 stretch.

However, it's going to be very interesting to see how they come to play against a bad Rams team. If they come in uninspired and get beat - Parcells has to go.

why does Parcells have to go? isn't inspiration supposed to come from the players? if they're not fired up, it's their own, damn faults, not Parcells'

I completely agree and unless Parcells plans to change his ways and become more aggressive on O then I hope he retires or gets fired. there was way too many games that we should have won that because we went conservative the other team ended up winning. Also he was dumb *** for not hiring a Defensive Coordinator with experience in the 3-4

this post is stupid on so many levels

no talk of execution, or talk of how well the D played in the 3-4, considering the circumstances, as well as pitted up with other team's 1st year experiences in the 3-4, which went far worse than our's
