Do our players need to have a meeting before the season to solve issues?

There's been some chatter from players and their families in the last few weeks. Do we need to have an in house meeting with our players to solve these issues, so they're not taken into the season? Do we need to establish new leaders in the locker room, or keep it how it is? Please give your thoughts

There are all kinds of meetings players do in the off season. Position groups and smaller groups get together for weekend getaways or off season workouts at players houses or just go fishing.

If you’re looking for a angry cry chest thumping Friday night lights type of thing, then no, they probably won’t and probably don’t.

That’s tv stuff.

Some players buy a ping pong table and then the coaches take it out after a two game losing streak and then the players bring it back for camaraderie. Saw that on two different teams the last year or so.

That’s what happens when you expect this type of stuff.

sure they have meetings, players only many times. Id say this. If they need a meeting to state the obvious, we dont need them on the team anyway.Water is wet as they say. The internal issues with the team should be THAT glaring. I just want the guys to focus like pros.

What they all need to do is hang out together a lot more. Like the O-line did for a few years with Fredbeard around. They because all close friends and their on-the-field play showed it. The 90's Cowboys recently said the same thing. They hung out outside of football too. You need that investment in each other.

THIS. Its team building, hanging out. Sounds corny, but you make a good point. We have too many players making business decisions on and off the field..Im not saying they have to be best buds, but they need to get on the same wavelength. Losing FredBeard really affected us and in many ways, we haven't recovered. Maybe he should be our oline coach.

Look I hate to beat a dead horse (where's that emoji)
However there likely are many players on this team who don't trust the QB to win BIG games.
No meeting can fix that.
Of course they will all say the right things. However, having played DT back in the dark ages I can tell you when the offense does a 3 and out, or a turnover you tend to get pissed off. When you begin to expect it, you want the problem gone
The more flamboyant personnel will begin to make comments as frustration sets in. Discontent in the locker room follows.
I think our QB would be a blast to hang with, and fun teammate.
But he ain't going to cut it with this year's schedule.

Bottom line: you can have all the meetings you want, but it won't change the outcome .
Everyone who's payed attention over the years HAS TO REALIZE THIS BY NOW.

What specific issues should supposed player meetings solve?
