Actually the Chiefs couldn't find a way, that's why they let Tyreek Hill go. They had 3 big salary hits to deal with as well (Mahomes, Chris Jones and Hill). Lucky for them, Travis Kelce doesn't squeeze them harder than he does, IMO he's right there with Mahomes as far as importance to the team.

But to answer the topic's question - I doubt most of the veterans want to be at camp, Cabo sounds a lot better. This team has great talent all-around, but few winners. There's a difference.
He tried. Don't you remember when he tried to get himself declared a WR so he could get more money?

Sure, but, hypothetically speaking, if we are drafting well, then wouldn't make sense to trade the ones we are not going to be able to keep? Why not add more darts to the draft board if we can't keep some players?
I'm not disagreeing with you. We should be getting compensatory picks for some of the talent that walked away this offseason.

That wasn't the point you are acting like they never signed their superstars as a matter of fact they're too emotional they usually outfit themselves and over sign overpay but the one thing they've always done from day one is pay their superstars so everyone keeps worrying that they're not gonna do it because they can't afford it and it's a lie you're reading between the lines and I'm telling you where you're reading is wrong I think they're gonna find a way to get him all three done 75% they're gonna get it done that's not back putting up people I know it seems embarrassing but hell the Cleveland Browns how many GM's ownerships and changes of like states they're moving around did it help them they haven't even wanted division since 1996 I mean the team can't even win a division and you keep worrying about these other things that will eventually come full circle the Eagles only have one Super Bowl in 60 years many teams have none some have just won we're waiting on number six shari's waiting on #4 that's what makes this different we have been competitive we have put ourselves close and like the chiefs took 52 years it was a much longer drought than ours and finally won another Super Bowl y'all need to calm down I get it we're all frustrated....

But when you stop spewing the narratives without bringing up facts that this happens all around the NFL it is not embarrassing to have a top six team in the NFL that's constantly in contention we're in prime time games for a reason we are still relative and I get it we are blowing it in the playoffs and we're all frustrated and embarrassed especially about the last loss..

But it still doesn't take away from what I said the Kansas City Chiefs are not big players in free agency they do not keep all their players they've had to make tough decisions they've had to go young they've had to depend on draft picks they are one of the teams that do not do with the Rams Eagles and 49ers do and they still have success most NFL teams do it the way Jerry does I know it doesn't seem like that but most teams don't do the all in thing because that is very few and far between it's very rare...

I get it they're frustrating our front office say dumb things they come in public and speak out of the side of their mouth and sometimes Jerry is becoming senile and it's not making fun of him he says things and words that pop out of his mouth don't fit which I know the psychotic mint psychic I can read Jerry speak I don't know why people can't but he intends to sign all three of these players it may not happen but I think 75% chance all this crying is gonna be for nothing and we're gonna have a competitive year...

But we all watch because we're fans and one of these days it's gonna just come like it has for many teams but championships are hard to win yes I want to get to an NFC championship game I get your point but I'm trying to bring reality into this I'm trying to bring the voice of reason it is frustrating but we are still competitive we are one of the best teams in the NFL. Stop comparing us to teams that may have done it once or twice they got lucky and tripped over themselves like Blake Bortles getting to a championship game and Mark Sanchez and all that nonsense somehow Nick Foles accidentally goes on a run this is just luck and our luck is coming I know it don't seem like it it will come full circle someday and we will be even more appreciative because it took so long..
No, fans will not “be even more appreciative because it took so long”. You don’t speak for all Cowboys fans. You don’t even bother to use proper punctuation. Spare me the voice to text nonsense. That’s a pathetic excuse.

They like being Cowboys and the perks that go with it, but no, they don't like being at camp and they definitely don't like playing in the postseason. That's been obvious for almost three decades.

If you were a veteran would you like being at Camp knowing you're not going to win anything past week 18? I wouldn't. If you stay with the Cowboys that means you've resigned to never winning anything. You're just getting rich and spinning your wheels. That's why we can't attract any big name free agent anymore who wants to win a Super bowl. It's not going to be here. Everybody knows that.

No professional football players want to play for the Dallas Cowboys, unless they are paid enough to make it worth their while. There is no pride being stuck inside a slowly sinking ship. That star on the helmet doesn’t mean a thing. That is a fantasy for fans. It’s ridiculous.

Exactly, we're a team full of losers.

I know that there's a lot to make of the lack of activity from the front office this offseason. I know it's been a brutal offseason, and it feels like a toxic cloud has fallen over the Cowboys since the Packers game. We can't even seem to keep our own guys happy anymore. Whatever happened to we like our own guys? Well, what if, and this may be even more damning against the FO, what if our key players DON'T want to be here?

I understand that trying to extend Dak, CeeDee, and Micah would probably be a challenge (even though, let's be honest, Roseman and the Chiefs FO would probably find a way). However, you would think they could at least get CeeDee (the Jefferson deal was pretty much perfect for Lamb's deal) and Micah done. Yet, all this offseason (besides drama and toxicity) has produced is Zeke returning, a long snapper, a decent draft on paper, and Erick Kendricks. What gives? Do the players want to be here?

Well, it takes two sides to make a deal. The players have probably noticed the lack of investment from the FO. Yes, they want to take care of their bank accounts, but they probably would also like to win a SB. If they do not think the FO is willing to provide them with the tools that they need to win, then why would they want to stay if they have aspirations? Do you think Parsons would want to stay here, when he can probably go to a team like Kansas City and become an instant contender? Think Lamb wouldn't jump at the chance to join a team that needs his skillset and will actually provide him an opportunity to win a SB?

I get frustrated at the FO because of the seeming lack of effort to fix the clear and obvious weaknesses of the team. I was about 3 the last time the Cowboys won a SB. The players are the ones that actually put their bodies on the line. They put dedication into their craft to want to win the SB and to get into the HOF. If they can't get that here, why stay? While listening in to Jerry's conference, he stated that sometimes things get expensive in reference to Dak. What if Dak told him he doesn't want to be here anymore?

It'd be one thing if the FO doesn't want to get a deal in place. It'd be one thing if they had a plan of succession for the players and coaches in place. It'd be a damning indictment against this FO if the players, aware of the FO's lack of effort, were saying they don't want to be here anymore. I heard Stephen saying how they have received an increase in season ticket requests in response to a question that was more about fans being upset. Think the players don't see through this? Think that didn't speak to the players and say, "Wow, all they care about is filling seats. They don't care how we perform"? Think they want to stay in a situation where they don't feel like they can make the most of their career and potential?

I think, reading the tea leaves (to use a Steveism), we will see a lot of our key players leave. Perhaps the only way, besides the seats being filled, that the FO will realise that things have gone terribly wrong with their methods is for our star players to leave in droves. I think this will happen the more players see that this team is a dead end to their potential.
Of course, the players want to be here, in fact this is a dream destination for many NFL Players who grew up watching the Dallas Cowboys play in Primetime routinely in every tv market in the country. Whether you like it or not Americas Team is the most valuable sports franchise in the world, and every player that plays for this team is afforded ample opportunity to make money off the field in appearance fees and endorsements. Dak has never been past the second round in the playoffs and yet he has more T.V. commercials {nationwide} than many star athletes who have actually won Championships and MVP's. That is a product of being a member of the Dallas Cowboys..

Also, I want to push back on the praise that you're giving the K.C. Chiefs on keeping/paying their players.. I presume you forgot about Tyreek Hill - He was their most explosive weapon on offense and possibly the best WR in the NFL at that time who stretched the field and added another dimension to Andy Ried's offense; But when Hill asked for $30 million it was time to say goodbye..

There is no indication whatsoever that professional football players would prefer to play for the Cowboys as opposed to any of the other 31 NFL franchises. This is a fantasy created in Cowboys’ fans minds. There is no truth to it.

Because you dislike this team so much, you can't imagine someone wanting to be here more than anywhere else?! SMH.. That's why it's so much fun to come here lol.. Some people like to disagree without providing any facts to back up an argument.

Like you. There are no facts that support players prefer to sign with the Cowboys as opposed to other teams. Players prefer to play for the team willing to pay them the most money.

Yeah, and this is simply a pure opinion thread. Not really many facts either way.
