Im not sure they do. and Im not sure the "thinking" of Dallas hiring him tomorrow is pointing that way either. Just speculation...but thats about all the Dallas media is doing..so why not

Reports today from Ed Werder that Jones may not be set on Turner. A tidbit he also dropped that Jerry is worried about the questions a Turner hire would bring (certainly would make zero splash..which isn't Jerry like)

You spend eight hours interviewing someone no one expected you to bring in....EIGHT hours. Obviously more than just a token or passing the time interview. He may or may not be hired but if the common thinking from some media that Turner is hired tomorrow is true and you are dead set on that....do you not only interview Singletary today (which you didn't need too for any Rooney rule) but have a very long all-day interview that really impressed you from reports? (Turner isn't even in Dallas from reports and there hasn't been any reports of him on his way back to town for a press conference tomorrow)

You also have a report today saying Ron Rivera has made it known he is interested in the job. Do you just ignore that and not even check it out?

that and the mention today that the NFL Commissioner has said he would prefer to not have any other team news announced during the super bowl week?

I may end up being totally wrong but I would be shocked if Jerry announces anyone tomorrow unless its someone like Singletary that just blew him away

Not sure if it'll be tomorrow but eventually, Norv will be named HC and Bowles DC...

maybe...but Im beginning to think Jerry hires someone else. Just a feeling I have had the whole time. Norv is going to garner TONS of negative reaction warranted or not...Jerry obviously knows that from reports today.

Im not part of the total anti Norv crowd as I dont think his past is entirely on him with the situations in Wash and Oak but I am also not 100% sure he is the best choice at all and I get the feeling Jerry isnt sure what he wants to do yet

its not going to bring the headlines or splash I think Jones was going to want from this after the attention Parcells brought, TO, etc.

If it's Turner, then it'll be announced tomorrow. So, if it's not announced tomorrow...

I really think if Norv was the lock some seem to think he would have never left Dallas without being hired and having the press conference. Jerry would have no reason to keep looking had he really felt after that interview that he had his man and this WOULD be the next coach of the cowboys

JJ knows this process is wearing down Cowboy nation. After we have finally had enough he will announce our new HC and we will be so relieved it is finally over we won't care who it is. With our will broken and the screams of "when will it end?" finally being heard, a candidate we don't want will be forced upon us..........I'm sorry did you say something about an announcment tomorrow???

If he announces Norv tomorrow then the Singletary interview and being blown away looks like a complete lie/smokescreen and makes the Rooney rule look like a formality.

the Singletary interview had nothing to do with the Rooney rule.

and I doubt even Jerry would spend 8 hours just to put on a show

Does anybody know how long the interviews were for the others?

Yes it did , word outta Miami was that Bowles being interviewed was not really in the spirit of the rule.

per the DMN the NFL confirmed Dallas had already satisfied the Rooney rule prior to today. That has been mentioned elsewhere too. the Singletary interview was no token interview

I am sorta getting this feeling too. Like its far from settled. Interesting.

Unless we are keeping Bledsoe and starting him again, then I don't think Norv Turner would be a good fit here.

The problem with this team right now is defense. And that's why we need a defensive wartime general like Wade Phillips who can take what little talent we have on defense and get the most out of them.

the glimmer of hope is that the longer jerruh waits the more stephen and co. get thru to him what a debacle Norv would be.

we can only hope the delay makes jj rethink his impulsive hiring of the "familiar" guy.

I am in agreement with those who think that the longer this drags on the less likely it is that Norv Turner or Wade Phillips will be the new HC. That is a good thing in both cases IMO.

Singletary is an intreging prospect and maybe he did blow Jerry & Co away in his interview. I certainly hope that if not he then someone comes in and makes a big impression because it will take a strong forceful personality to impress Jerry Jones. We need a strong minded coach who can stand up to Jerry and command respect from his players.
