Im not sure they do. and Im not sure the "thinking" of Dallas hiring him tomorrow is pointing that way either. Just speculation...but thats about all the Dallas media is doing..so why not
Reports today from Ed Werder that Jones may not be set on Turner. A tidbit he also dropped that Jerry is worried about the questions a Turner hire would bring (certainly would make zero splash..which isn't Jerry like)
You spend eight hours interviewing someone no one expected you to bring in....EIGHT hours. Obviously more than just a token or passing the time interview. He may or may not be hired but if the common thinking from some media that Turner is hired tomorrow is true and you are dead set on that....do you not only interview Singletary today (which you didn't need too for any Rooney rule) but have a very long all-day interview that really impressed you from reports? (Turner isn't even in Dallas from reports and there hasn't been any reports of him on his way back to town for a press conference tomorrow)
You also have a report today saying Ron Rivera has made it known he is interested in the job. Do you just ignore that and not even check it out?
that and the mention today that the NFL Commissioner has said he would prefer to not have any other team news announced during the super bowl week?
I may end up being totally wrong but I would be shocked if Jerry announces anyone tomorrow unless its someone like Singletary that just blew him away
I am starting to think the "sell job" of Micky and others went over like a lead ballon. Tons of negative reaction of Norv being the front runner.
Jerry is not stupid, as many would have you believe. He is not deaf either and I am sure he heard the fans moaning.
On top of this, if the reports are true that Norv is wanting some GM power over coaches and personnel, I really think it is going to be somebody else.
If we hear no announcement before the SB, you can forget about Norv in my opinion.
