Do we bring TO back next season?

I think its a pressing question.
I imagine BP comes back but TO has been such a distraction and he continues to drop catchable balls at an alarming rate when it matters most. Cost us at least one game already this year, could've made a big difference today too.
I have better hands than TO, seriously. A pro athlete shouldn't drop passes that hit them in the hands softly. Just 25 million reasons for it.
Plus, TO only half-heartedly (if at all) fights for a ball if a DB is making an INT attempt.
Sure he's a playmaker when he catches it and forces defenses to think about him....but is he worth it?

Personally, I would make a bold splash in the draft and go get Calvin Johnson. There are a few players that are of value that we could trade away and not miss (like JJ, Rivera, etc) in addition to draft picks to get there if we wanted, then we could wash our hands of TO or at least put so much pressure on him to NOT drop passes that maybe he'd concentrate a little more.
So my question is...what do you guys think? Is TO worth the headache?

This just simply amazes me.

Owens is not the problem at all. It's Parcells and how he gets this team ready for big games. It's Pathetic the way we play in them.

to play devil's advocate...he should have well over 15 TDs and over 1300 yards.....and if he would've caught those catchable balls, we just might be 11-4 right now instead of 9-6. Also throw in his continuous distractions....I'm not sure BP wants to deal with another offseason and season of all-TO, all the time.

You mentioning the up-side potential weakens your arguement for getting rid of the man.

I think the game has passed B.P. by.

I don't exactly know what that means but it sounds good.

New Blood and new schemes is what's needed.

B.P.'s been in the league so long I think all the O.C.'s from other teams know exactly what he likes to do.

JMO you understand.:)

I'm not fully decided on my stance on the issue either, which is why I brought it up.
There are a lot of pros and cons on both sides of this coin.
But I am pretty frustrated with him dropping passes, and key passes at that.

Well if an off season surgery can hep that than definitely.

I want him back w. or w. out it personally.

Will we have a "do we bring TO back" thread every week?

I would personally like to see more "do we bring Zimmer back" threads but that's just me.

Honestly I don't think he matters. We have more pressing needs then WR. We have plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball.

Why are we even discussing WR? Coaching is the issue. There is no fire in this team.

Jerry fire them all.

Yeah, let's bring TO back so he can lead the league in drops again.

I wouldn't be upset if we didn't bring him back. And I wouldn't shed any tears if Zimmer and BP left with him.

This defense is loaded with first round and first day draft picks and they still suck. Either the players are all overrated or the scheme sucks...or both.

How does a coach fire up a bunch of millionaires? This isn't high school.
One player was thinking of his birthday party during a fire up speech.;)
They had the East on the line, seems if we can blame the coach for this loss we can also thank him for getting us to this game.
