A couple of things here.

You guys know I really can't stand the guy.

T.O. was not the problem we lost yesterday, the guy had 1-2 dropped passes but he also had a Touchdown. That should have been more innovative about how to get him on the ball.

We as fans should look at the real and more serious problem in Dallas and I really dont think it is Terrell Owens.

On that note, I cant wait to see how F.O.T.O., Irvin and Deion explain away some of his drops.

What's funny is that some of the same things being said about the coaches and T.O. are the same things the Eagles fans said last year.

Many Eagles fans bemoaned the fact that the team was letting T.O. because of his spat with McNabb, saying they couldn't give up his type productivity because the Eagles had nobodies at the wide receiver position.

Many Eagles fans complained about Andy Reid not being willing to adapt and run the ball more than he passed it with McNabb.

Interesting what happens when you are "forced" to not rely on one player (whether it's McNabb or T.O.).

The Eagles are back in the driver's seat and looking at claiming their fifth division title in six years.

As much as T.O. has done for the Cowboys offense, I think if he's not here next year, it will force us to adapt and diversify. And I really don't see him being that "playmaker" that he was in Philadelphia.

Oh, sure, he's caught passes and has a bunch of TDs. But he's been very pedestrian, and the plays that stand out the most are the drops (against the Giants, Commanders and Eagles) that may have swung momentum back toward the Cowboys at critical times.

I personally don't think the Cowboys lose that much if T.O. isn't here next year.

In fact, if we don't go far in the playoffs, I say he's gone.

12 TD's over 1000 yards

T.O. is not the problem ..... our game plans for big games is.

yea, and all that with a bum finger.

plus, look at his numbers compared to any other dallas greats. he's having one hell of a season, even with the drops.

if you're serious about winning, i'm not sure why you get rid of him.

Well... Talking bout offseason improvements (draft or F.A. Signings) I wouldnt let T.O. go and add another position to adress when we have many on our D to think bout... Hes having a great year, or for all those who cant stand him, I would say hes having a good year, just good, you cant say worse than that with his numbers, even with his drops.
And you blame him on clutch time? Blame him, but blame our coaches, blame our defenders and blame Romo cause today they all showed very poor decisions and executions on many plays.

Defensive end, Linebacker and safeties are all 3 positions that are on red alert and should be fixed in the off season.

I say we bring in a Jeff Fisher type (a master of preparation that still knows how to motivate players at this level) and bring TO back as well.

I think it is all of the position coaches who are to blame. The defense obviously has talent, Ware, Fergi, Newman and Williams are all in the top few at their positions. We have a scheme that forces teams to throw the ball deep against a team with vanilla coverage schemes and a weak pass rush, teams have good success simply because our D is designed to stop the run in the first half so our O can pound the ball. We struggle against offenses with a good deep ball, a team with a power running game or a team with an accurate quarterback.

To solve these issues on D I think that a overhaul at D coordinator and at the secondary position coaches. We need to develop a scheme with a blitzing pass rush that could come from everywhere. We should disguise them also, instead of just having Ware line up and rush, mix it up for godsakes. With the focus being mixed up and in disguising the blitzes we could easily improve on our sacks.

The problem isnt the talent, T.O. or the offense that is doing good. We need to improve on the crappy schemes, preparation and gameplans for big games.
