Do we go after ET?

We may get a discount because he wants to come here plus the injury may drop has overall value a bit. Anyone know about how he's progressing?

I like ET, but I gotta say after seeing Sean Lee showing us how quickly a football player gets old, giving him a big multi year deal just doesn't sound smart to me.

The first TD Jones allowed all year came in week 17, with Cody lattimer making a one handed catch...

He's not going anywhere and he shouldn't. Adding ET but losing Jones doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't give a thirty year old safety coming off a serious injury any deal other than a one year deal with lots of incentives because there isn't a big market for that out there!

One thing has nothing to do with the other, Byron jones plays corner and Earl Thomas plays safety.

Why does it have to be one or the other? Also, adding a better safety means on any given play we can devote fewer resources to stopping the pass.
We have a lot of our own guys up for deals.. we have csp room but dont need to blow it all

Jones does stupid shyt at crucial times of the game. That hands to the face yesterday was costly. He's a good corner but he needs to play smarter.

Cooper is 5 years younger. That's where I give $$$$

...he’s a WR. Going to pay him like he’s elite even though he hasn’t played a full year yet?

How many elite WRs get Super Bowl rings?

Imagine wanting to pay a skill position big bucks over someone who would help solidify the secondary

Yet again, the Cowboys fan base loves flash and mediocrity. LOL

E.T. will phone home ....

Lol @ all of you that thought it was over.

It has only begun.

As a Hawks fan who knows he’s not staying here as I think that bridge has been burned to a crisp (though Seattle can still franchise him if they want to mess with him or attempt to broker a trade).....

You have to factor in.....

Age, recent injury history, wanting maximum dollars + ET’s ego.

Earl is a weird cat, he may be pissed that Dallas didn’t trade for him while they had the chance.

I absolutely loved the guy’s play on the field and he’s one of my favorite players, but as such a physical player on the field and recent injury how much tread is left on that tire?

Do you risk a potential big contract for a guy that may have Sean Lee’s “availability”???? That is the question that the Cowboys front office needs to ask.

Yes, add ET and let Jones walk. Don't pay Byron like he's anything but adequate at corner.
He's a pro bowl player - not just adequate. I hear you on his salary demands, but I don't understand why you would not like Byron on the roster if ET is at FS.

Me too. I love Earl, but he's about done.

No. Worry about resigning our YOUNG free agents. Let Woods play FS, he’s been playing well. Draft a SS and let Heath play ST and sub packages.

I believe he will still try to command a huge salary and we need someone who is younger 2 maybe 5 years experience or build in draft, I think he will draw a lot of interest and he will get his big money maybe not quite as much as if had not got hurt but maybe way too expensive for us

Didn't Byron grade out as one of the best CBs this year in his first year playing the position?
Mostly because people didn't throw at him but when they did pick on him with any consistency he folded like a house of cards

I dont even care at this point, what difference does it make
Don't Mean a Thing not this year anyway can I see your point we're in for more of the next year stuff and I'm tired of hearing it too seems like you are as well?
