Do we have a chance at Lindenbaum at 24?

We do, but this team has shown zero interest, I believe

I think they're looking for a mid round C

I'll preface this by saying I haven't watched he'd much tape on him at all.
However, I get he's the best college center by a wide margin. Can he hold up at that position at under # 300 ? He's supposed to be pretty smart and would upgrade our center for awhile - if they are comfortable with his strength.
BUT - if we do take him with the 24th pick. What becomes of Biadich ? Now you have still left a hole at LG, and Biadich ain't that.
If we were to take the guard there and leave Biadich at Center does having our new Guard and Martin on either side help him or not.
Other wise your now still needing to draft a guard instead of moving on to another position ...

Nick Mangold had even shorter arms.
Alex Mack had arms exactly a quarter inch longer.

And he fell to #29.....

I don't really care where the kid from Iowa gets picked. The original poster asked if we thought he might be available when the Cowboys draft and I relayed what other people closer to the draft process said which could indicate he might fall. I've seen at least one mock in the last couple of weeks that has him falling to Cowboys.

Having depth is a good thing. We would have 8 other picks to take a G.

I wonder how many other teams will draft him ahead of us.... the guy shows Travis Frederick potential
nobody should complain if we get him at 24

I'm starting to hope he's there and we take him but if gone like Zion Johnson who Dane Bruglar stated he likes better than Green

It's really hard to judge. I've seen guys with deficiencies drop significantly and then others not at all.

I think he’ll be there at 24 but I honestly don’t what to think of an undersized C with short arms. Is he going to be able to anchor against quality DTs on 3rd and 6?

Nick Mangold had no trouble doing that but then of course for those that think the underwear olympics are all that I give you Jumongous and how many others that would impress you by measurements and turned out to be complete losers...

Interior OL almost always fall.

I didn’t reference the combine at all so not sure where that came from?

Regardless there’s still risk in trying to hit on an outlier than the norm.

if he's on the board...thats an easy pick and im on to round 2.

There is plenty of evidence that arm length is incidental; and while L is a little light not that much. Stepnoski showed what leverage can do and the word on L is that he really is excellent there.
The fact that he won the Rimington award nearly by acclamation is of course something to consider; and above all game tape. The Big Ten is still mostly a power conference and he dominated there.
Frankly you clearly are looking for as many nits to pick as you can find and there are just not many there.

Sure, but again your talking about the exceptions not the norms.

I’m not trying to be nit picky just trying to reduce as much risk as possible at 24. You can’t miss in the 1st.

In my opinion if you take Linderbaum at #24 and lets say they go WR @ #56 than in 3rd round you go OL again this time a guard

The thing is honestly and regardless at #24 you go OL and if another high rated OL slips out of first round you go OL again unless there is a high rated DE setting there at #56

The first 3 rounds 2-OL and 1-DL

This draft has plenty of WR and I've stated this if you spend your first 3 picks on the trenches like 2-OL and 1-DL than in the 4th round through 6th round you have multiple picks so double up on WR

and inch or two in the arms and 5-10 lbs in weight makes him an outlier?
Maybe to the stats obsessed.
