Do we have the most...

Greater exposure than NY or Chicago ? Even NE.

Yup... if you're on national TV more often, you're getting greater exposure...

We're talking NATIONAL exposure here, not REGIONAL exposure... advertisers tend to like having that national exposure, and value pitchmen who have that kind of national profile...

Seen a lot of New York Jets with national endorsements, have you?? Or Chicago Bears??

Seem like I always see Urlacher on something or another. And yesteryear Bears had their own rap video.
And I always make fun of the Namath pantyhose ad, not to mention seeing Chrebet for years.

Getting exposure to a state with less than a million who are more interested in watching the rodeo certainly isnt accomplishing as much as a mere city with millions of residents.

And who would the pitchman be for the Cowboys ? I would say Roy. But did you perhaps have someone else in mind ?

Texas' population is 70 percent more than Illinois' population and 10 percent larger than the state of New York's population. And the Cowboys' national fanbase is much larger than the Bears', Jets' or Giants' is.

The Cowboys have a regional advantage as well as a national one. Dallas is the #7 DMA (Washington is #8) but that doesn't begin to tell the whole story. Houston (#10) although having it's own team, still has a considerable Cowboys following. Also, San Antonio (#37), Oklahoma City (#45), Austin (#53), and Shreveport (#81) are "Cowboys" towns. Those are just in the top 100. The second 100 DMA's have another large group of Cowboys towns including Laredo, Corpus Christi, Midland-Odessa. Abilene, Waco, El Paso, and San Angelo.

The fact that the San Antonio region does not have an NFL team is a huge advantage to Jerry....and he knows it. It is the principal reason the Cowboys returned to the Alamodome this season.

If the Cowboys are playing good this season the national broadcast game could increase as the networks have the right to switch times on game late in the season to get the more meaningful games as they did last season.
