Do we make this mistake again?

The shtick is beyond old.
What shtick?

I bare my innermost Cowboy soul to you and you say this?

Be careful bro.

Next time you ask the wife or the GF you want some quality time with her..

She may say to you..

"Ahhh..the same old shtick me..huh?"

Thanks for your comment.

We all have favorite players, I get that. We also have whipping boys. I get that, too. My problem with your obsession with Dak is that you've made your point, you don't like him.

Rather than consume yourself with your dislike for Dak, take a break from posting Dak threads and let things play out; you may be surprised with the results. You're a good poster, Redball, don't let this Dak-hate detour you from your passion for the Boys.
Oh my..

I just say what I think I see.

Dak is a lightning rod until this all does work out.

Don't bother me.

Don't let posters good or bad disturb your views.

I agree. Another little secret. If we get rid of Dak, we also aren't winning the SB with his replacement.
Yeap, but then we will hopefully sign some other Free agents. I really want to keep Byron Jones and Cooper.
Lift the talent level of this team.
Load up

at this point...whatever happens,happens.
pay'm both.
pay 1.
let'm test the field.
im good with whatever.

Yes brother.

You knew best.

You always did.

You were always mom's favorite.

:omg:

I wish I could go shout this from the mountaintops.
Watch what the 49ers do this offseason. They will get Brady and dump Jimmy G. Shanahan is an extremely smart coach. He knows Jimmy G is average at best.
Our Front office should be able to find another Dak, why pay an average guy 36 million per year. Look at the Rams they have instantly regretted the Goff signing. Not everyone who comes up for an extension will be Russell Wilson, Mahomes, Watson, Rodgers...
Some guys just will not pan out at 33 million plus.
Don't make this Dak mistake. Go out and be a serious player in Free Agency raise the talent level of this team and get a QB who you are comfortable with.
I am guessing Winston will have to sign a prove it deal, there is no interest in Tampa to bring him back. Just watch how this plays out.

Agree. It’s pretty obvious.
Hmm..

I think it's clear I understand it.

I just don't like it.

Since the 90s SBs..

I have thought the NFL has had a chip on its shoulder about our franchise and owner.

Zeke's suspension only hardened that.

It's just ridiculously hard to win in the NFL.

Our FO at times just adds to this.

I complain I admit.

But I am and my family have been heavily involved following the team. Season tickets since 1965 parking fees, overpriced food but still I manage to find enjoyment in it all.

So you will have to shoot me to shut me up. Or grin and nod knowingly what a 67 years old 50 plus year fan is still around.

It's a little sick if you ask me.

You were fine overpaying our RB last year though. Start at beginning.

Stop it.

You are scaring me.

Soon they are going to move us to our own folder and call it "The Grumpy Fan Zone".

I would not like it, but I see something like that coming.

We will only be able to talk to other Grumpy Fans and like a zoo..

the other members can visit but not post unless they are grumpy.

Where were you when Romo, Dez and Witten were getting overpaid?

Where were you last year when Zeke and D-Law were overpaid?

Where were you when our Oline has been overpaid?

Tank was overpaid as was Zeke .

I said it at the time.

I can say it all I want but who cares anymore.

Dez was overpaid and his deal caused Murray to leave.

And Romo? Sure he was overpaid but he, Witten and Dez were our whole team so it didn't matter.

And we now have 20 other FAs to resign or replace.

So things are very different now.

Later.

Dak was not drafted to take over. He was just supposed to be a project behind Romo as a safety net.

So true...yet the Dak slobberers think that no future draft pick could EVER duplicate much less surpass what Dak has done in Dallas.

I am not for overpaying Dak either but I also think drafting players to make the QB better is a mistake too. Don't get me wrong, every offense needs dependable receivers even if they are two TEs. But I think Jerry's mistake for many years has been his strategy of signing skill position players first and worrying about interior offensive and defensive lines second. Sign Dak, keep that offensive line near the top in the league, even if it means moving one from someone and replacing him with a better player, and the offense will be fine, even if Cooper departs in free agency.

The disagreement amongst the fan base, Pro Dak vs anti Dak is actually rather easy to understand, but yet there are possibly over a 1000 threads debating this, possibly more, IDK, haven't bothered nor want to take the time to actually count..lol

Pro Dak fan base - conservative approach, they want stability at the QB position, tired of waiting for success, want to compete now at all cost.

Anti Dak fan base - an even more conservative approach, basically throwing in a bad hand dealt, more of a gambling mindset, willing to take even more time to rebuild with a new direction and somewhat tweaked mindset now in place.

My opinion doesn't matter what so ever, just part of the entire free speech forum that we are afforded to actually speak are minds,, love this country and this forum for that.. love or ignore.. love it or leave it.

So as most that frequent this house already know that Im not the biggest Dak supporter but I actually support both sides in this endless debate.

I am more of a gambling type personality and trust my instincts from the couch, not unlike 99 percent here have to do, lets not kid ourselves and try and pretend to actually be able to predict the future, not all of us actually can see into the crystal ball and see the future.

Im more of a realist, and look at the entire roster, not just one position, not just at Dak , and while I agree that Dak does posses certain trait, certain intangibles that equate to success, I also realize that a QB like Dak is not capable of over coming the deviancies that plague this roster, this defense.

With a great defense in place right now, with out a doubt, I would be pro Dak all in.

But lets not kid ourselves Cowboys fans, rather you are Pro or Anti, putting all your chips on Dak and expecting him to cover up years of ineptitude and sub par FO decisions is truly unfair to both the player, the team and the fanbase.

So Romo, Witten and Dez being overpaid didn't matter since they were our whole team, but you've got a serious problem with Dak being overpaid? Sounds a bit hypocritical.

The team is built to win now. Probably only have three good years of the oline and Zeke. If the Cowboys were rebuilding then I would be fine with moving on from Dak. But the best chance to compete over the next three years is to sign Dak long term, not playing with the tag. The Cowboys could structure Dak's contract so that his cap hit doesn't even hit $33 million till year 3.

Would Romo be considered an overpaid player if he had won a SB here? With better coaching, he would have won at least one. Garrett was the sacrificial lamb? Please. Dude had a decade here and failed with a full cupboard.

It's getting late now as the deadlines appear on our horizon about signing or tagging Dak and Amari.

Lets remember why all of this happened in the first place.

Tony Romo.

The OL rebuild was supposed to help Romo.

Drafting Zeke was to replace Murray leaving and no running game.

To help Romo. To be Romo Friendly.

Dak was not drafted to take over. He was just supposed to be a project behind Romo as a safety net.

Now here we are,. Romo has got his dream TV job leaving him plenty of time for golf..

Dak is grossly about to be overpaid in a move that is going to doom this team for years if he fails or gets hurt and can't play well enough..

because of Dak needing to have a posse of people around him who are All Pros..

we can't afford a defense at all.

It been like the Keystone Cops in Dallas.

And we keep making the same old mistakes with this team..

we get a low cost QB and we want to go to the SB with him by overpaying for him to get there thinking if we just pay him enough..

and wait long enough..

It will all work.

Failures have now caused a complete coaching change to be made and Garrett was made the sacrificial lamb along with all the coaches.

Quite a blood letting to beDak Friendly.

Now Dak has stopped being Cowboy Friendly and wants to be paid the most in the league to be our leader.

Doesn''t anybody see this problem clearly?

The timing of signing Dak and Amari to these contracts are all out of order.

You pay players for performance AFTER you receive services rendered.

Not before.

Mahomes is the best there is right now.

He gets paid AFTER he wins a SB.

Not before.

Brady?

Same thing.

But the Cowboys?

Nope.

We like Dak.

We will overpay Dak becuz Dak has suffered with us and been underpaid for two losing runs into the playoffs.

OMG.

Somebody pour some coffee down the gullets of the Jones and sober them up.

We are about to completely lose this team to their decisions of wanting to make a bad business platform work.

It will not strike oil,Jerrah the WildCat man.

I have one suggestion for Jerrah.

Stop applying oil philosophy to sports.

Another Dak thread from a guy who chastises others for posting “another Dak thread”, lol!

:facepalm::muttley::huh:
