Do we make this mistake again?

Hmm..

I think it's clear I understand it.

I just don't like it.

Since the 90s SBs..

I have thought the NFL has had a chip on its shoulder about our franchise and owner.

Zeke's suspension only hardened that.

It's just ridiculously hard to win in the NFL.

Our FO at times just adds to this.

I complain I admit.

But I am and my family have been heavily involved following the team. Season tickets since 1965 parking fees, overpriced food but still I manage to find enjoyment in it all.

So you will have to shoot me to shut me up. Or grin and nod knowingly what a 67 years old 50 plus year fan is still around.

It's a little sick if you ask me.

It is a little sick. What drives me crazy is the madness when fans of this team actually have this idea that the Cowboys actually have a chance to win a SB. It starts at the beginning of the season. If you look around the league you can pretty much tell the true contenders. The NFL isnt what it used to be. The Cowboys are no longer a team that is feared, they are actually laughed at around the league by being over rated. I stopped going to games and wearing Cowboys gear in 2012. The wife wanted to buy me a Dak jersey for Christmas back in 2016 but I told her no. There was something that wasnt quite right about his play. I could tell then he wasnt that good and more a product of the team. What drives me nuts is the decisions this team makes especially when they havent won anything in 25 years. They constantly make the wrong decisions sprinkled in with a couple right decisions.

I think the reason is with our old staff and HC we were stuck in the 90’s and the sport and schemes past us up. We ran the same game plan every week. We win games with our talent and never had the coaching it takes to get past the first round of playoffs. Once the talent level was even you need coaching and schemes to be able to adjust and we were out coached. Now at least we have a good proven HC.

It's getting late now as the deadlines appear on our horizon about signing or tagging Dak and Amari.

Lets remember why all of this happened in the first place.

Tony Romo.

The OL rebuild was supposed to help Romo.

Drafting Zeke was to replace Murray leaving and no running game.

To help Romo. To be Romo Friendly.

Dak was not drafted to take over. He was just supposed to be a project behind Romo as a safety net.

Now here we are,. Romo has got his dream TV job leaving him plenty of time for golf..

Dak is grossly about to be overpaid in a move that is going to doom this team for years if he fails or gets hurt and can't play well enough..

because of Dak needing to have a posse of people around him who are All Pros..

we can't afford a defense at all.

It been like the Keystone Cops in Dallas.

And we keep making the same old mistakes with this team..

we get a low cost QB and we want to go to the SB with him by overpaying for him to get there thinking if we just pay him enough..

and wait long enough..

It will all work.

Failures have now caused a complete coaching change to be made and Garrett was made the sacrificial lamb along with all the coaches.

Quite a blood letting to beDak Friendly.

Now Dak has stopped being Cowboy Friendly and wants to be paid the most in the league to be our leader.

Doesn''t anybody see this problem clearly?

The timing of signing Dak and Amari to these contracts are all out of order.

You pay players for performance AFTER you receive services rendered.

Not before.

Mahomes is the best there is right now.

He gets paid AFTER he wins a SB.

Not before.

Brady?

Same thing.

But the Cowboys?

Nope.

We like Dak.

We will overpay Dak becuz Dak has suffered with us and been underpaid for two losing runs into the playoffs.

OMG.

Somebody pour some coffee down the gullets of the Jones and sober them up.

We are about to completely lose this team to their decisions of wanting to make a bad business platform work.

It will not strike oil,Jerrah the WildCat man.

I have one suggestion for Jerrah.

Stop applying oil philosophy to sports.
As I recall it was Romo who got his back injured in preseason against Seattle. That is why the team is in the situation they are in.

It’s a free world. Take your Jaylo butt over to the KC board and spare us your misery.

These Dak Hater's disguises are becoming so weak..

I need a snatch your wig emoji...

Stop the dramatics, every qb has and will be overpaid. Thats the top spot. The market is what it is. The Lions screwed that over yrs ago with Staffords deal. IDK why cowboy fans are trying to make this about Dak and Jerry. Dak has clearly outplayed Wince, and Goff and theyre making 30+mil AAV so i understand why his agent is asking for more than what they make.

And it seems to me that some of you have no clue how much this new CBA deal is going to explode the cap. Another game, and a new TV deal. Fans are short sighted and dont pay attention or are too lazy to read about whats about to happen.
:starspin::hammer::dance:This folks...this is how sane football fans think!

Great post!

Another narcissistic genius who knows more than Troy Aikman. These “I hate Dak” threads are so educational.

I'd even pay you 2.5m to be our QB before i payed Dak 35m+. Last i checked that poll that was started earlier this week more around here would agree with me than with you

These Dak Hater's are truly a great case study.
We are in an Professional Football environment where the next CBA will have every position getting a raise. Somehow Dak falling in line with QB trends will destroy the Cowboys.

They need to find another team.

I wish they would find another team but the majority of the Dak haters are the same posters that hate on pretty much anything the Cowboys do. It’s who they are. It’s their DNA to be pessimistic and miserable. They come here because theres’ a large group of like minded posters that they commiserate their misery with.
