2 catches for 43 yards.

1 pass interference to get them the TD.

One overthrow from Dak which would have been an easy TD.

Another interference not called where he would have had a TD.

Many Dez bashers, year after year says he has games where he does not have an effect and without these sides notes they would point to this game as well.....
I would not let those guys get to you. Remember, they are about ratings and the Cowboys will generate ratings.

He gets taken out of games way too easily.
Bryant is a bit like how Michael Irvin was.

He had his kryptonite in Bobby Taylor.

Taylor never backed down, was physical and competed with him.

The thing is that instead of one guy, Bryant has a lot of guys that are his kryptonite.

Namely, any cornerback who is physical and jabbers at him long enough to get him out of his game.

There are 6 WR's...total...ahead of him out of league that has a minimum of 64 starting WRs? And a whopping 6 were rated higher than him by the people who play the game?

Yeah. You simply can't be taken seriously and add absolutely nothing of substance to the conversations. Block time!!!!

Haha k

People say he has games where he's ineffective because he has games where he's ineffective. Why is that hard to accept?

Pretty hard to argue that the criticism isn't justified. Last 3 games against the Giants: 24 targets, 4 receptions, 61 yards.

The idea that we need a running count for things like this is just ridiculous. Overthrows, pass interference, and coulda-woulda's happens to every WR. Some just happen to consistently produce on top of all that.

Stephen A Smith had some interesting comments this morning on Dez.

I am not a Smith follower..

but he slammed him a good bit..

Said he has no separation..

only runs a set number of routes that are defensible..

He is not elite anymore and said he is not even in the top 10 anymore.

Pretty harsh..

But Smith did say he was a team motivator and needs to change his game.

Not sure I bought it...

but some of his points had some weight.

Dallas doesn't manufacture catches to Dez like other teams do for their WR's and i'm sorry but if Julio or Antonio were here they would be in the same position as Dez.

So would Calvin Johnson if he was a Cowboy instead of a Lion.

I won my fantasy game on the strength of T.Will's surprisingly strong performance. I wonder if Dez's presence had anything to do with that?

I like the slants he ran last night. That's a reliable throw/catch and gives him an opportunity to RAC. But all these go routes get annoying because we may only hit ~20% of them, if even
They have him run go routes because his bad route running screws up play designs.

Was he blanketed by Jenkins when he juked him out of his shoes and Jenkins stumbled and Dez was WIDE open for a TD?
He's done that to Norman and Jackrabbit now. He tried to cut the throat after that one. Between that, the one he drug him for 10 yards, and the wide open one in the end zone Dez did his job.

You can't really discuss this issue here. Anybody that criticizes Dez will be called a Hater and it will be repeated over and over.

There is a large group of people that believe Dez has Zero faults. They'll invent excuse after excuse for him:
It's the QB's fault.

It's the ref's fault.

It's the play-caller's fault.

It's the scheme.

The DBs cheated.

The Sun was in his eyes.

An opposing fan yelled bad words during his backswing...wrong sport.

The ball had too much air pressure.

Opponent fans shined lasers into his eyes.

Mara from the Giants paid a billion dollars for a device to deflects the trajectory of the ball just before it gets to Dez but this device only works against Dez and not other WRs.

There was an earthquake at the exact moment Dez was trying to catch the ball.

Effects of the Hurricane made their way to JerryWorld but just at the exact moments Dez was attempting to catch the ball.

He got dehydrated because opponents replaced his Gatorade with water from Krypton.

Finally, they'll tell you that Dez is a better actor than John Wayne.

Preach it, brother!!!

I literally have never heard anyone say this here. And neither have you.

But as a resident Dez hater who has had to shut his mouth since the second half of last year.... No surprise to see you here with a strawman argument.

I know it's been a rough 8 months for you. So I'll let you have the day. But not sure Dez could have made more of his opportunities. Long balls. Missed in the endzone. And other players taking advantage of easy/easier match ups.

We got the win.

Oh hell, you KNOW what Xwalker said is true! Lol
