Not for a guy who hasn't played meaningful football in 2 years.
That is called RUST and gee Tony did pretty good on that series vs the birds, right. I get it. You don't want Romo to come back and will try every sad excuse to justify your position.

Yea the drive were he didn't even get touched. They got him in that game and out so fast nobody knew he was even in there. lol I don't have to have any excuses. Romo is done. He knows it too. That's why he stepped away and didn't even try to hook on with another team. But I guess we will still have people clinging to hope until the end of time. lol

Hopefully this "Romo will come back if..." stuff is over after 2017. Personally, I think he'd be kind of foolish to do it at this point.

Romo may never play football again, but I'm not sure he is 100% over the ledge yet (in making his retirement official). I was convinced he could still play by what I saw at the end of the season last year. And then Romo above all people can attest to the fact that there is nothing that compares to playing football on Sundays.

Worst case scenario Dak gets hurt right before the playoffs start? Romo comes back for one last crack at glory. If we needed him for a few games, say around december into january i can definitely see it. Not for a 8-12 game grind though. Don't think his body could handle it.

It is 2017 or bust for Romo and only one team would he come back for. He will not want to go to anyone else and learn a new system.

The timing would have to be right in Dallas too, even if Dak were to get injured but Dallas has a bad record, he will not come back.

Romo is through with NFL football. He knows when it's time to quit and he's better off for it.

He's free to play all the golf he wants now without too many folks saying he's wishy-washy.

Also, his newfound career working as an announcer will benefit him and his clan quite well.

Once he became a free agent he could easily sign with either the 49ers or Broncos but obviously decided he was done. If you believed various reports, the Broncos were high on his trade list. Yet he apparently no interest even signing with them once CBS offered him the number 1 broadcasting slot. Why would he give that up now for a lesser team? Not to mention he's back playing golf with what appears to be a pretty strong ambition.

Well only Tony knows what Tony would do don't try to use common sense .

.because he may just want to play and try and win a Superbowl or he may be done with it only Tony knows .
guess we will find out soon enough.

True, but there's more to it. He's been given a great gig for a guy with no announcing experience. It's a job he can possibly do for decades. His injury woes the last couple years weren't pulled muscles. Broken bones and back surgery are no fun. They're painful, take several weeks to recover, and the back thing could be debilitating for life if you're not careful. Add to all of that the arrival of Dak, and apparently wanting to spend his entire playing career as a Cowboy, and the decision gets easier.

It's over guys. Romo is probably making $10M/year to broadcast games and golf.

Did Tony look fat in the booth last night, even though we really couldn't see?
