Do we trade our 1st round pick?

Didn't we try this approach already? Trade our first rounders for additional 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th rounders.

Trade two first rounders for Joey Galloway.

Trade a 3rd rounder for James McKnight. No wonder why the Seahawks are 10-2 right now.

Stop the insanity. Didn't we try the move back approach in 2001? We wound up with ZERO to show for our draft ... QC, that lame SS, Willie Blade, Matt Lehr, etc, etc. Useless. All junk!!!

We use our picks on the best available player period. No nonsense, no being cute, no trading away top tier talent for sub-talent. That's what killed us to begin with.

And if KC had thought that way, we would have been facing a very weak team yesterday. After all, why draft an RB if you've got the leagues best in his prime on your team?

QB is a little different -- since that is one position where you can't rotate guys at all.

Holmes was coming off a serious injury when they drafted Johnson. There was even some talk that it may have been career ending so at the time it was more of a "need" pick than you're implying now.
