Do you get a feeling it's over?

Yeah it feels that way. They just dont play like a team with their hair on fire.

I think the giants loss was a big ego blow and something that is hard to rebound from.

but in ny they thought it was over in early december too when they lost to washington and minnesota..etc...
They still play like an entitled team.

All of this talk about "one game at a time" is empty rhetoric. I didn't see any special sense of purpose or urgency in the players or the staff yesterday. More of the same old arrogance where we think we are so good we can lineup and beat anyone.

We cannot beat quality teams late in the year. It is obvious we aren't or won't dig down deeper, pull out all the stops and get the job done.

But we sure can yell at reporters and deny we are losers though.

Seriously, out of the games left, the only one I think they have a chance of winning is against the Saints. The Saints seem to play to the level of their competition. They'll lose to the Skins and the Eagles (badly).
New Orleans is just a bad matchup. If we can't control a team like the Chargers who pose little running threat and stop their passing game, we have no chance against the Saints who can do both well. Our best shot at beating the Saints was to harass Brees and that shot disappeared when Ware was carted off on a stretcher. He'll pick apart a horribly coached and lazy secondary, not a doubt in my mind.

I think the only shot we have to win another game is at Washington. But of course, they will play with more passion than we will and win that too. Then we'll have a deflated team ripe to be run over by the Eagles.

Eight months until training camp.

I am looking forward for a new coaching staff since last year. so we will have something to look forward to during the off season unless it is JG like everyone here thinks.

Yes, it's over. I over estimated this team, and I now know the truth. They are a very average team, and average means 8-8. Some players have some talent, but overall there is not enough competitive heart. The coaching staff needs an overhaul, and it's time to draft/sign some higher performing players, that hate to lose.

We've seen the apex of this team's capability.

Holy Bejeezus.

A week ago we were ready to effectively finish off the Giants for the season and now we may not make the playoffs?!!

Unbelievable.

In Wade's world, this all makes sense.

this season is over. when we get our butts handed to us this saturday and when the giants beat the skins to take over the second wild card then the players will just quit and the mail in the rest of the season. such a waste to promising season at the beginning.
