My superstition is that we always win when I go to the actual game. My record is 8-0 ranging from when we had Aikman to Romo - even including some from the Quincy days. I've wanted to tell Jerry my theory about my luck and maybe he would give me a suite at the stadium.
Ok...you're up. Will send the letter. If we lose however, you need to also lose your membership. We have pitchforks...just kidding. thanks for the reply.

I have weird superstitions that develop throughout the year. They get to the point where they take over my entire week. Like last year, I had a superstition that if we won a game, and I rewatched it, we'd lose the game the next week. This really started to suck because I was recovering from surgery from the Eagles game in November, onto past the end of the season, and sometimes I would have LOVED to rewatch a good game that we played.

I truly hope that several of these posters are just kidding about superstitions that they practice.

But I am afraid that they are not.

Why there are many professional athletes who have their quirk. They make sure they eat the same meal before a game or tournament or they have a certain things they wear, it is not just fans but the men who play the game that have their lucky whatever.

Not in superstitions, bad omens, good luck charms or rituals, ... but I do think there is something to that karma thing.

If you do bad stuff, bad stuff can happen to you.

If you are good to people, people will generally be good to you.

Is that karma?

(this should be in the VooDoo Zone)

Actually, I personally think that there is something to the saying that "No good deed goes unpunished". It doesn't stop me from doing good deeds, but it always seems to backfire on me. LOL. Maybe the dark side is trying to deter me from doing good deeds. LOL. But there seems to be a correlation between doing good deeds and taking it in the shorts. LOL

I seriously doubt that they are kidding. LOL. Who do you think the commercials about turning all of the beer labels facing the same way were geared toward? LOL.

Them being professional athletes doesn't make it make any more sense, .. I would say the same thing to them.

But them doing it is a little different, if as they perform, they think it does, .. but a fan wearing a certain jersey, holding a glass a certain way, sitting in a certain chair or couch ?? Ridiculous.

Come on man !!

I used to leave the room every time the Cowboys were kicking a field goal. Mainly because our kickers sucked. Dan Bailey has allowed me to enjoy the whole game the way it is supposed to be. Not really a superstition but if I told you every since I started watching the field goals we started making them, then I guess it is.

To those that have their own superstitions before each game, don't feel too bad, you're not alone. :D

Lets just hope some of yalls superstition isn't this freaky - "Jason Giambi has always been a big, awkward man. So when it came out several years ago that the Yankee slugger had a metallic gold thong he wore to snap out of slumps, no one really wanted to know, or see it."

I change jerseys if we are doing bad to change up the flow, or I wear the same jersey if we are on a winning streak..lol

Good to know someone else does that too. I thought I was the only closet case. Also drink Bohemia (only) beer, and nachos is my only food of choice since that was what I had over their last 3 SB victories long ago.

Back before Rangers went the way of the dodo when the Glasgow Derby came round whether I shaved or not depended on whether I'd shaved the last time and how the game went. If I shaved the last game and we got a good result then I would shave the morning of the game, if we lost then I wouldn't shave probably for 2 days before the next game but certainly not on the morning of the game.

I have never heard a satisfactory explanation by fans who believe in superstition as to why one fan's superstition wouldn't cancel another's out.

No, I believe in bad drafting, poor cap management, lousy play calling, and ignoring the tenets that are truisms about the games are won in the trenches being the ultimate downfall of a team that will remain nameless.
