Do you guys care if your Cowboys merch is official NFL?

Every year the NFL runs ads imploring us to look for the tag that proves the merch you're buying is authentic NFL stuff. Is it important to you guys to do that or are you cool with buying whatever looks good? All my gear is authentic except for a really old T-shirt that I bought from a roadside vendor near Burleson, Texas shortly after the Cowboys beat the 49ers on their way to Super Bowl 27. It's a plain white shirt with a picture of Alvin Harper beating the 49er defender for the catch that broke the 9ers back. The NFL put out no such product. Today the shirt is so worn out it's one of those that I ought to throw out, but just can't.

Depends what it is . I don't like the fake jerseys they look cheap, but a t shirt is okay if the design is cool.

Pretty much no one I know wears 100% authentic, unless they own one shirt. They're so overpriced, you can't justify it for multiple jerseys, especially up here in Canada. I've never purchased Chinese Vancouver Canucks or Man United gear, but they're much more reasonably priced for what you get. Don't want to spend $300+ US for an authentic jersey

100% yes. I don't buy counterfeit or bootleg anything.

Yea because the 4 year old kid in the mexocan Sweatshop in Guadalajara makes the authentic ones better than the 13 year old Vietnamese slave girl in her sweatshop.

If you can't tell the difference, and I have some of each. Who cares? I have three fake and two authentic, two of the fake are better than the authentic hands down.

I don't regret the one non-authentic shirt that I have. It's just a T-shirt with a pic of Alvin Harper making that historic catch. It wasn't possible to buy it from the NFL since they didn't even come out with that.

A jersey or cap has to be authentic for me, anything else is fair game. I don't care if my wife's game-day socks are licensed or not :D

the only so called authentic i'll by is the retro stuff from Ebbets field flannels. I so badly want a couple old school football and hockey jerseys from them just to wear around te houe when its cold.

I have a Packers Nitschke, chinese knock off for much less.

and I'll get another knock off in the future. Charging 250$ for jerseys is bullcrap and they are made the same places the knock offs are.

the knock offs look like knock offs and I dont give a damn

I care about authentic play on the field...we get that from 31 NFL teams with the exception of NE.
However we do not have authentic calls from the refs....some teams get unauthentic calls or unauthentic help from dictator Goodell.

But we get get what looks like a decently laid out schedule for once....can't complain....

I do both. My authentic gear I save for getting signed and then framing. My fakes I wear. I can't justify spending 300 dollars on a shirt that I will most likely end up getting drunk in, spilling nachos on and getting stained.

The prices are insane. I will not pay 100 dollars for sewn mesh.

Knock off jerseys FTW

I remember a notorious place for knockoffs was Italy, though not for NFL knockoffs since no one cares about real football (i.e. American football) there. At a marketplace I went to in Florence there were Elvis jeans instead of Levis (probably legal) and on the streets there were these guys from some African country selling crude polo shirts that they had sewn the Lacoste alligator logo onto (definitely not legal). None of those guys got my business, though it might have been funny to own some Elvis jeans.

I have a couple knock-offs I bought from China for $35. I've compared them to a friend's authentic jersey and they look exactly the same.

I don't buy much stuff but if I do it's authentic. While the nfl is not hurt much by knock offs the concept is the same for any product. Knock offs are stealing someone else's property. I consider how I would feel if I had a company and someone knocked off my product and in effect stole from me.

Good chance they could be made in same factory. China knocks off everything

Really depends on what it is. Jersey yes, hats yes but there are things that I have bought or was given that I'm not sure is official cowboys.
