Do you have fun as a Cowboys fan, or a football fan in general? Or, is it everything (good or bad) but fun?

There are so many reasons that I'm a die hard fan. I've been watching playing, or coaching since I was 2 years old. 41 years of football is a lot. But I asked myself today, is it fun anymore, or was it ever? I love it. I'm a Huge competitor. I bleed blue and silver. I've coached for 9 years. I am constantly playing with my boys, and yes that's a blast. But is being a fan and everything that comes with it, fun? Why? I have my answers but I want to see some of yours first.

I think for casual fans it is a pisser. For me it is like a bad addiction I can't kick even though I know it's killing me! Lol. When they lose I am miserable. I suck at my job all week and i am not nearly as friendly. When they win I am just relieved not overjoyed. At this point I really need them to win it all to feel joy from football. These rooks are sure helping. Makes it tougher when you live in Giants country too.

I'm 50, been a fan since 1974, played 7 years been coaching for 29 years. It is still fun for me. The Cowboys are fun because i have learned not to take it so serious. Since i don't draft, control their signings or their play calling, i just sit back and enjoy it. I stopped throwing things at the TV a long time ago. Just roll with it.

I'm 51 and I am more a Cowboys fan than an NFL fan. If Cowboys aren't in SB I really don't care about the game. It used to bother me a lot when they lost but the last 20 years have calmed me a bit, but thats either due to maturity or the lack of team success. I have seen all the SBs The Boys have been in, and except for 92, have not enjoyed a season more than this one. So I still bleed blue and silver just don't get as stressed about it as I used to.

I can't watch more than 10-20 minutes of non-Cowboys football. I can't watch a single second of college football. I feel like I'm watching the same 5 plays over and over again. I've been a Cowboys mental patient my whole life. I was on the cheerleaders squad in Jr. High.

Nope. The emotions I feel are pain, envy, hate, anger, and disappointment with sports.

Of course I have fun watching the Cowboys lol

Been a cowboys fan since the days of the triplets. The battles with the 9ers are stuff of legend. But I enjoy all football. Farve, Young, Montana. Elway....

But this season and the 2014 seasons have been both magical to watch, haven't enjoyed football like this in years.

It used to be absolutely gut wrenching, never fun. Kick, scream, swear, throw things, etc and then be in a funk for about 48 hours. I was really bad.

Now that I'm older I've calmed down, it's more analytical for me, more like "why did we lose" instead of "why did we have to lose."

But I know if we make it to the Championship Game - not necessarily the Super Bowl, because that's house money - but the Championship Game, I'm gonna be a wreck.

I'm actually looking forward to that old awful sick feeling again - for just one game. :)

It largely depends on my expectations. The '92 season was tremendous fun. The team, while up and coming, hadn't yet proven they were championship material. It was a blast watching them come into their own while taking us on a magic carpet ride that culminated in a Super Bowl. By '95, winning Super Bowls was expected. As a result I found it difficult to appreciate the wins and even the championship. Winning was more a relief than a source of joy while losing was cause for great frustration.

This year has been more like '92 than '95. The rookies have helped this team do things nobody reasonably could have expected. As a result it's been one of the most enjoyable seasons I can remember (2007 and 2014 were pretty good too). I can only hope that it'll all end with my experiencing the height of joy I felt back in '92. There's a chance of that happening because, for as good as the team has been, I can't honestly say that I expect our guys to win it all.

Been a die hard Cowboys fan since the Ice Bowl game season. It's been fun and agonizing but the fun clearly outweighs the latter.

I watch high school football, some college, some NFL , all Cowboys games . The losses still bug me. The thrill of another SB win has me hooked. Bleed silver and blue. This is a special team and I'm loving it. Go Cowboys!

When I was young I would get so hyped...and so stressed out watching games. Now it's just kick-back fun.

I enjoy other NFL games but haven't watched even 5 seconds of college ball in the past 5 years.

Yes, matter of factly when football season is over I go into withdraw, and the TV usage goes way down until the following preseason. After they lost the playoff game@ Seattle I threw an old computer out the side garage door with it landing in the street.

There is an excitement for games that is unlike anything else (Well maybe the 1st umm time with a new girlfriend is more exciting, but that the only thing).

In regards to my mood, I've found that analyzing games has minimized anger or frustration after losses. Analysis is actually more interesting after a loss than a win in some ways.

Been a Cowboys' fan since the 70's. And I'm loving this team this season, they are truly fun to watch. But I really thought about giving up all football (high school, college and pro) after watching 4-12 last year. I don't think that I've ever been so disappointed in my life.
