Hard to believe they do at this point.
All 3 phases of the team havent looked good.

That's a pretty good question that the owner should be asking and the head coach and every coach on that staff but anyway college coach good question! Did you like all the rhyming they did their LOLCoaching is one thing but for a team to really be a team, it is their belief and trust in each other that brings that together.
When they walked off that field in NY, was that a team of players believing in each other?
It might be the injuries affecting it and their challenges to play well missing starters or the fact they've had to come back from 28 and 18 down only to come up short but their posture was all wrong.
I didn't see leaders stepping up except the QB and that could be because of their playing doesn't represent leadership. Lee and Witten haven't played very well and neither has Yosemite.
Since they were in the thick of it, it might be hard for them to see it at the time but how could Prescott's play and giving himself up to make plays not inspire them and that might have been what sparked the comeback but they looked like a team that had just been blown out by 21 points leaving that field.
We get to find out about this team Sunday night. Are they a team or a gathering of individuals? Can they forget who's not on the field and focus only on who is? But most of all, will they play for their HC like they're defending him.
That's the tell on this coaching situation. I read that team in NY as not being coach friendly coming off that field and there may be some loyal to him players that are counter to the others. Hard to be a team when they can't come together for the coach. Because then, they can't come together for each other.
Belief is an amazing component. Have that, a person can do things beyond themselves. Lose it and they can fail to live up to their own bare minimum.
It's not about the X's and O's this week, it's about something far more basic than that. I do think the Eagles players still have that but I am not sure about our Cowboys and belief will not be about the final score, we will know about belief long before that game is over. They can lose the game but if they've lost belief, they've already lost the season.
Couchcoach !!!! Damn phoneThat's a pretty good question that the owner should be asking and the head coach and every coach on that staff but anyway college coach good question! Did you like all the rhyming they did their LOL
That speaks nothing about believing in each other. Of course they're going to look depleted, they lost a close game. That's pretty positive, not sure I share that. And I am attaching a lot to how I saw them exit that field, could have been just abject disappointment for a failed comeback after a failed comeback and I am reading too much into that. But that's what I do, I watch people and their posture to try and ascertain insight into a deeper hole. If I'd been that lion, tinman or scarecrow, I'd have pulled that curtain back long before they let Toto do it.

That's only 50 players. We are missing three...........
3 view football as a religion and live, breathe, and eat it regardless of how they get paid.

I mentioned that in another thread, the Jets had one before they played us. You think Booger would let them have one without someone there to take notes for him?If they don't then now is when the dreaded players only meeting gets called.
That only work if there is a clear cut leader on the team. Maybe even 2 or 3.If they don't then now is when the dreaded players only meeting gets called.
The only HC I've seen do that is Belichick because his players feel he wouldn't put someone out there that will not do their job and he picks his players. Most of the other HC's are given the players. It is largely the HC's job to get the players believing in one another, and I don't think he's doing the job.
He's probably got the entire facility under video surveillance under the 'jocks to socks act' of 1989.I mentioned that in another thread, the Jets had one before they played us. You think Booger would let them have one without someone there to take notes for him?

Would Garrett have been able to make the payers believe in Chaz Green in ATL? Could he make them believe in Cassel or Weeden?
Most players will start off believing in their teammates but this team just went through something most players don't go through. All, virtually all, of this off season was about making the DE the highest paid at his position and then the holding out RB the highest paid and when they weren't the subject, the QB's contract was. Do you think all of these players are immune to the money that was being thrown around? That's one issue, what if these two highest paid at their position players are not playing up to it and the other players know that? Everybody wants some but not everybody's getting some and those players all know Elliott's deal, as well as Lawrence's, is going to affect how much others get. If they didn't know, their agents made sure they know now.
It does seem that way from the outside looking in. Which is unfortunate since we've been lead to believe the leadership intangible has been strong the last three and a half years. That only work if there is a clear cut leader on the team. Maybe even 2 or 3.
I don't think there is such a player on this Cowboys team.
Agree, that is priority #1 but it is professional football. These players just care about their bank balance
Yeah...it’s no coincidence that in the last two games, the Cowboys were down double digits before half. Starting slow is killing this team.I don't see the camaraderie on the field no. That's leadership. That's the biggest thing I see lacking next is motivation and preparation. And you can't win without any one of those aspects
