Most, but not all. Curious you left out that all the coaches are new. Why? I don’t know for sure but against the Jets I think most of the players normally don’t start. It’s probably pretty close to 50-50.

Coaches make a difference for sure but takes time for players to learn How to win. I think schotty had alluded to the same thing. Eagles, Chicago and GB games were examples

Of course not.. It's way too early .. The season is young.. but I do like the progression I am seeing. There was a time when losing ONE offense lineman derailed this team. This bunch just hung 37 on a team with FOUR of them out PLUS their #1 receiver. But nobody who has watched this defense can feel good about them. But they are operating with two injured corners and a pass rush that is still trying to figure things out. But we have time.. Enjoy the ride.

what are you talking about? This is the Zone, doesnt everybody in here drink the Kool-Aid every year and say we are heading to the SB? Dont they alwasy buy into Jerry and whatever he says? So yea,and hell yea baby. I feel great about this defense, our coaches, our fans, and our owner.

Exactly. Cowboys are only 2 games behind with 12 games left to improve and learn how to win those games.

I suspect that they are on their way to a winning season. Their depth has been outstanding.

Should have beat Philly. Squeaked out the Giants. Blown out by Chicago. Tied Green Bay. Blew out the Jets

Nothing wrong with the start that they had. They are actually in the division race.

The Cowboys strategy is simply to win the games in which the opponents are worse than them.
The Jets game would have been a loss except for the turnovers and having Justin Fields in at quarterback.
But any real team will beat them.
The Cowboys path to the playoffs is to play mostly sub .500 teams.

Poor guy. So many Dallas fans are like battered spouses. They always think beating that was the last time and this week/month/year is going to be different.

Until the next beatdown and a few weeks of good behavior. Rinse and repeat. Jerry loves his sucker fanbase. They are in a toxic relationship with each other.

I do expect the team to get better as the season goes along. Especially the defense. Remember they’re working under their 3rd DC in 3 years. It’s going to take some time for everyone to get on the same page. Some good players will be coming back as well and some of the young guys well keep improving. The coaching will also bet better as they learn the strength and weaknesses of their players.

Lol 3rd DC in 3 years is an excuse. Dan Quinn pretty much turned the defense around as soon as he got here, also the same year Parsons came on. You either have the talent or you don't, and I dont see us getting an elite pass rusher anytime soon

Yep, it's unfair comparing the Defense (as this is the crux of the OP), to our Offense, on talent front, scheme and play-caller that's familiar with the roster.

As you sat ENJOY THE RIDE, and build it properly (obs Defense heavy, with the 4 1sts we've got over the next two years). 2025 is an evaluation of what we've got.

Let the coaching team start/continue the process.....we need to remember 2023.....universally accepted as our most all-round roster (even Hankins shoring up the Run D, and a fit Tyron)....but coaching ???

Let me see what's been the formula for the past number of years. Easy teams, we beat, difficult teams. We don't.

Trust is earned, and they have not earned mine.

I haven’t trusted this team for 20 some years. Just when I get excited and think this is it they choke and pull the rug out from under me.

I will say I’m more excited about this team than I thought I would be. This season is more fun (so far) than I thought it would be. If we win Sunday we will be half way to my preseason prediction of 6 wins. So in my mind we are playing above expectations. So it’s exciting. But trust has not been earned from this team and FO for about 20-25 years.
