Do you want the Rock first or do you wanna let DWare & Co. set the tone?

Its going to be loud in there before kickoff.

I want to play defense so the eagles have to deal with that early emotion.

It has happened repeatedly this season at home we take the ball first and its all loud and excited, we go and punt and the crowd totally deflates.

now on the flipside if you take the ball and score it makes the crowd even louder.

but I prefer playing defense and having buehler kickoff and put them at the 20.

As well as the offense is playing, I feel like it is better to receive. We've been controlling the ball well, and you can limit your opponent to one fewer quality possession in the first half.

For example, in the last game, the Eagles got the ball back with only 1:04 left in the half. Dallas ended up with 4 quality possessions, while Philly had but three.

I am good either way.

If Dallas does get the ball first. Pray that offense knows their assignments, the blitz is picked up and Romo finds his hot read. Cause, philly is gonna be coming. Only way to stop is to hurt them on the blitz.

This will no walk in the park, it's gonna get ugly, this is the type of game that makes football what it is, and why women don't play the sport. :)

As always I like kicking off. To me it is just a bit more important to set the tone in the 2nd half. If you are behind you get the chance to get right back into the game and if you are ahead you get the chance to put the other team deeper in the hole.

Be the first to score to always always make them play catch up. If we score twice than they get desperate again, take away the big play and McNabb will make mistakes, it will force the run game out of their plans. If we give them the ball first, they might try going deep. A bad assignment by us and we are playing catch up.

Set the tone by making them doubt themselves.

Excellent point about the crowd noise. Plus I love scoring at the end of the 1st half and getting the ball right back to start the second. I say we kick first.

I'd prefer to start on defense. Holding them on that first drive will do more to deflate them, especially since most of their trash talkers this week have been on offense. I also like getting the ball after halftime.

Either way, this game gets a lot easier if we can get up on them by more than one score early. Let's hope it happens.

Kickoff first, let the D set the tone.
It's been setting the tone. Noone's scored on them in 8 quarters. Let them go out there and show that they can keep it up. I agree.

I would agree more if we hadn't just pummeled them last week.

As Eskimo noted above I want to put them right back into "here we go again" mode. Drive down the field and take a quick lead, and put *real* pressure on McNabb and his young WRs to come back.

I've ALWAYS wanted it first in the second half....however, I do love it that if we can jump on them to start the game, hold them to a 3 and out and then score again, that it would make the Eagles possibly throw out their game-plan.....although, they have historically always been a 70-30 pass/run team under Reid....

Do we want the rock first?

I want to stop referring to the football as the rock.

I always loved starting on D first.

Especially if your D is clicking like ours is.

Give the O a nice three and out to start the game - firing them up - and scoring on the first possession.

Plus, we would have the ball starting second half - which would make it even better if we had the ball and scored before the 1st half ended.
