I am tired of playing philly in the season finale. Mix it up, division game, conference game, even out of conference game, it does not matter to me, just mix it up.

i felt like this yesterday but i'm totally different today.

The NFL switched to all divisional games for the season finale, so we're either going to get the Skins, Giants, or Eagles to end the season every year. Last year it was the Giants.

I'm tired of opening and closing on the road.

we are going to sweep the nfc east this year.

We'll win the opener (or lose it) and sweep the NFE (or possibly lose a few)

I don't like the idea of playing the last game on the road, oh well.

We'll win the opening game against the Giants.. or lose it. We'll probably sweep the Commanders but it's possible we could lose 1 or even both. As for the Eagles I'm thinking we can take 2 but we could lose one of those also, even 2.

Completely disagree w all of this.

Frankly unless we see serious improvement in the middle of the O line I think we go 0-4 against the birds and Giants just like last year.

Honestly, I don't think any of that stuff matters. Every team will play their divisional opponents twice, once at home and again on the road. Just like evry team in the same plays an opposing division's team. And for every team only 2 games float, and evebn then who they randomly play for those are bass on where they finished the year before.

In short, every team, every year, basically plays a similar schedule stre goth wise if you average across all teams played. What people get upset with really is the order in which these games are played.

But the ordering doesn't bother me either for 2 reasons. First games are played one at a time and so teams prepare for one team at a time. So if players mentalyy prepare right by doing it one game at a time, then the should be able to handle any tough stretch of games. Secondly, because the schedules really are so evened for every team, why complain about a y tough stretch when it will be surely offset by an easier one?

In the end, it's the Team's performance over all 16 games that will ultimately determine its playoff slot. And if you worry about the so called unfairness or toughness of any short stretch of games during your team's regular season, then pray to God that your team does NOT make the playoffs because, by definition, to win the Super Bowl your team will have to win out over one long stretch of tough games.

It's an advantage to open on the road Mike. Everyone has extra time before the opener so negative impact of travel is muted.

And since this game is 10 days before week 2, it's also in our best interest to be traveling again.

Now I know it can be difficult to understand how going on the road the first two weeks in an advantage. What you have to understand is that every team will be road tripping 8 times this season. So ever time you can get some extra time prior to any of those trips, it's an advantage. Just as having less, is a disadvantage.

That's the first thing I look for when the schedule gets released....all the road games and if we're getting shorted on time.

We don't have one road trip on short time. And our 3rd road game in Baltimore is after our bye. That's big.

Here's what I'm looking to/hoping for, a 2-0 start.

IF we can pull that off, not only will we be 2-0 obviously.......we'll be 1-0 in the division with only 2 division road games left and 2-0 in the NFC. Best of all we'll have 8 of our remaining 14 at home.

Nice analysis. Far from obvious, but obviously correct once brought to one's attention.

I don't like opening or closing on the road but we need to win no matter what.

How are you disagreeing with it? I made it to poke fun at the posts that could go either way. It doesn't say we'll do anything, which is what makes it funny.
