Does anyone have a summary of our cap situation next year?

Norm is outlining two personnel moves we can make in this off-season that could see us as much as 35M under the cap next year. Says we are in exceptional shape for next season. When I hear the moves, I will post.

Very interesting, please keep up updated as to what he says. I know it is all speculative but, 35M in cap space for the offseason would be VERY nice.

But, isn't 2007 an uncapped year ? Lets spend all of our free money next year, have zero cap space in 2007...The sign whover we want on FRONT LOADED deals.

Peyton Manning...100 million in 2007, then salaries of $650,000 the next 5 years...etc

Weird isn't it if that is how it worked out.

If the Collective Bargaining Agreement is extended before March, and if the 2006 cap is $95 million, we should be about $16 million under the cap BEFORE making any offers to our Exclusive Rights Free Agents (such as Patrick Crayton and Mat McBriar) and Restricted Free Agents (such as Jason Witten and Bradi James). That's also before we do anything (such cut or renegotiate) with guys such as Larry Allen, La'Roi Glover, Greg Ellis, Al Singleton and Dat Nguyen.

Thats a copy of a post by Adam on anothr board

Not sure if I can (or shold) post a link to another board here, its the ranch if you know what that is - Let me know if you want the actual link to the thread there, I'll post that if its ok.
