Romo's best season for the team was 2007, his first full year as a starter. That year he just ran the plays the coaches designed. He used his athleticism to make plays on the run.
Did Brett Favre ever do the 85 audibles before the play? Not that I can remember. He just ran the plays that were called and used his ability to carve teams apart.
Like Jerry said, last year Romo was drawing plays up in the dirt. HE'S the one who audibles out of runs, and never targets the tight ends.
Romo is a top 10 QB in talent, but to me, trying to turn him into Aikman or Manning as a cerebral QB is what's hurting us.
He's best when others think for him and he goes and creates off that.
There are a lot of QB's in this league with lesser talent at the wr position and TE position, and less time in the pocket than Tony has had this year.
i'd rather you figure it out
Help me understand your line of thinking.
Did this third and 20 happen after the roughing the passer?
I will almost guarantee if that were Romo that flag stays in the refs pocket.
And what would you be complaining about then?
