Totally agree with you. BP would love to cut Henson. He just does not like him. But Jones will not allow that. Jones will keep Henson around and when BP retires then Henson will get a chance to improve and learn under the new coach. That is what I think Jones has planned.

Didn't Parcells just repeat at his last press conference the 3 year rule, he learned from Landry? I would say with Jones' involvement and Henson's unique circumstances with the layoff, he will get even longer than the 3 years.

Henson isn't going anywhere unless he could be used as trade bait to get us a young, good QB that is a known quantity and I don't see that happening.

As a Yankee fan, that was a good one, LTN. I also heard that instead of game film, Big Bill makes Henson watch countless replays of "Reverse of the Curse". Thus, Henson's inability to look off his primary receiver.

I know you don't really jump in the QB debates and I respect that, but you know how to add perspective to the situation.

i think the only time you cut someone is if you believe that there is no way that the guy can be a productive football player or if there is just other people on the team that are better and there is no room for him.

Henson won't get into a game unless both Romo or Bledsoe go down. Henson will just continually fall further behind Romo. Thanks to all who answered, i feel the same way. It just irritates me that the media acts like Henson is going to get released or something. I say Henson will continue to get better and we will see the dividends next year.

Romo is not the future, Henson may be. We learned our lesson with Carter and won't waste time with another QB that does not have the skills to be a top producer in the league.

Romo may see some action short term, but long term, Henson is the best bet.

To me it all comes down to how much impact his cut would impact the cap etc.

Yesterday, someone told me that he would count all 3.5 million against the cap ... all at once .. this year.

He won't get cut if that's the case. But I don't know how, if in fact he were to be cut, it would affect the cap. That figure just didn't seem right.

But I think it all depends on how it impacts the team financially. I think most of us know by know that he's not going to make an impact with his "talent".
