Does anyone think Romo may retire

Wouldn't shock me one bit. People who are saying they would be.....simply don't know how much of a toll his body took. But people that saying they wouldn't be shocked probably also don't know how much of a competitor he is. I wouldn't fault him for it. The guy took a BEATING this year and has a bad back. Back pain just to live everyday is no joke. And the guy is playing against 350 pounders.

If I had to put money on it i'd put money that you'd probably have to take him out of the game on a stretcher for him to leave this game and even then I think he'd try and fight himself off of the stretcher to get back into the game.

I think he comes back healthier next year than he's been in several years.

So, per the things he's said all year, he's afraid that time is running out on his career. He's cherishing the moments and trying to win a Super Bowl before it's too late - he's made reference to it countless times. Yet you think that he's so afraid of his career ending he's just going to decide to quit?

gotta fight til the finish....haven't gotten there as yet

How much money would he leave on the table if he retired? Silli thread

I wouldn't be upset if he did, his back is all kinds of messed up. But I don't believe he's finished yet.

Why would he retire?

Peyton will be his back-up. Revis and Suh will be signed. AP will play on a 1 year deal for the veteran minimum and Dez will give Jerrah a home-town discount.

Nobody would leave with a team like that.

I may officially declare Tony Romo as the most likable player in the history of the franchise. I love this guy even more after this season.

Whatever it takes to get it done for Romo Jerry. You owe this man and us to see it happen.

4th and 2 and looked straight at the GB defense then to Dez and threw the perfect pass for the perfect catch only to get robbed plain and simple.

Hell, if he needs blood or an extra kidney, heart, lungs or some other vital organ to continue, I'm sure their will be plenty of volunteers.

Why in the world would he retire off an all-pro, MVP caliber season?

Man, reading that was painful to relive. :(

Calling it like it is. Straight robbery and nobody can convince me otherwise. It's particularly an insult to Tony Romo and guys like Witten, what they did.

I heard it was the only challenge McCarthy won all year. Not sure how accurate that stat is though.

You wouldn't be upset that your 2014 All-Pro, NFL's highest rated QB retired? Are you a fan of this team? Do you care about its success?

To say you would "understand" because of his back pain is one thing, but to not be upset is weird. I understood why Roger retired but, as a fan of the player and team, I was upset.

I'm certain it has already been mentioned but why would he retire willingly and give up the best job he will ever possibly have in his lifetime?

I'm not saying he would, but you never know, he's had so many injuries lately, and some significant ones at that.

It's almost a miracle that we lost yesterday, and the media isnt going hog wild labeling him a choker.

I could think of 102 million reasons....
