Does anyone wish our schedule was stronger?

I was looking ahead, and other than NE, Green Bay, and maybe one or two of the divisional games, our schedule is easier than it has been in years.

I know things can change pretty quickly- Carolina could get better. Detroit might really be as good as their schedule dictates. Washington could show up. But all in all, there isn't an obvious loss anywhere on our schedule.

I personally would like to have seen the Colts or Steelers, something. I just don't want to go into the playoffs with only playing 2 good teams and a lot of fodder after that.

No... I think it's important to go through the season with as many wins as possible and get homefield and a bye if we can.

One way or the other, we'll end up with some close games and some tests this year.

In the meantime, I'll never complain about getting "easy wins."

I look ahead and don't see an easy schedule. I don't think any of those five divisional games will be easy: the 'Skins have been pretty good, the Giants look a lot better, and there's plenty of time for the Eagles to right their ship before we face them. Green Bay's not easy. Detroit's playing well and Kevin Jones is just getting back. With New England, that makes at least 8 potentially tough games out of 12 remaining.

I'm tired of people talking about our schedule. There are only 2 dominant teams in the NFL the pats and the colts. Everyone else can be beaten. The NFL is as good as it was 15-20 years ago. Look were 4 weeks into the season and in some cities they're already looking forward to the draft. We play who's on the schedule. The only one complaning are our rivals and other who hate the cowboys. Can you imagine what they'd be saying if we were 2-2 or 1-3. Were 4-0 who cares what others think. They envy our position.

You think 49ERs fans ever complained about their easy schedule in the 80s & 90s? They consistently had one of the easiest schedules in the league every year while we seemed to always be near the top in terms of toughest schedules.

Yeah, back when the 49ers were in a 4 team division (among 5 team divisions), the 49ers actually had a systematic scheduling advantage. The scheduling format of that time assumed that the NFC West was missing a last place team.

So in addition to playing some really poor NFC West teams, the 49ers also had (extra) games against 5th place teams.
