Clearly you do not appreciate the mental chess game that he wages on the unsuspecting media each week. With each cocky grin, he is saying checkmate in his head.

His cocky grin is saying I have a guaranteed contract and will be back next year regardless how this season goes.

Yes, he will remain the undisputed, undefeated champion of press conferences for at least another year.

Press conferences are easy when you have a script repeating the same things everyday regardless of the questions or how your team is playing.

Whether or not he lacks confidence, he certainly lacks courage.

Ozzie Newsome selected Kyle Boller in the 1st round of the NFL draft in 2003. Ever hear of him? He was a quarterback and he was terrible.
And WR Mark Clayton ahead of Aaron Rodgers. The guy is good, not infallible.

Besides, ask him now if he'd trade you coaches and he'd laugh you out of the room.

Hey, like Lombardi running the power sweep over and over again, it's the sign of true greatness.

All a part of the process.

At least Lombardi's power sweep worked.

My point here isn't to slam Ozzie Newsome -- it's just to indicate that everybody, even one of the best GMs in the NFL, can make bad mistakes.

Both Ozzie and the Atlanta GM offered the job to Garrett. But we hear often how no one aside from Jerry would ever have done that. That's pretty much refuted. If Garret had taken the Baltimore job, he'd have another Super Bowl ring now, and Cowboys fans would be bemoaning how we lost both Payton and Garrett.

Everyone can make a mistake. Ozzie's track record is better than most. You apparantly had to go back ten years to find a major draft bust for him.

Most teams reflect the coach they play for. Is it fair to say Garrett is passive? Which reflects the team play.

Fully agree. He shows little fire during the games and this cannot be good for the team...
