Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things who are our coaches and HC?

We hear that from a lot of players. He may be the first to actually chase JG down, but he's far from the first to express interest in being a Cowboy.

Mostly because players know that mediocrity gets paid in this organization

ET was a special case. He's a lifelong cowboy fan and playing here is his childhood dream.

I don't buy that for a minute. Is he a Cowboy fan, and would he love to play for them? absolutely. Would he put on an Eagles, Giants or Commanders uniform for more $$ ? definitely. Make no mistake, $$ comes first for ET, especially at this point in his career. He's looking to cash in one more time before calling it quits. He's not playing anywhere out of loyalty. . .

In the peak of frustration I sometimes wonder why Jerry and Stephen don't just move down to the sidelines and grab a headset, why bother having a head coach when all you need is a couple of coordinators.
