Didnt read much of it but JJ is in a different system (not saying he would have the SAME productin out there) but its kind of unfair to compare the 2.

The 49ers have Alex Smith running their offense.

We have Tony Romo and numerous weapons to use.

We spread the ball out a lot more then the 9ers do.

Therfor, carries are down and the system is 90% focused on our run game.

With all those weapons we have, JJ should be doing much better, because people arent stacking the box against us. Unlike SD and SF, they constantly stack an 8 9 men box against LT and Gore and they still run through them. JJ needs to step his game up or put Barber in. We need real run game to win in the playoffs.

Well he has 1,000+ yards and MBIII leads NFC RBs in TDs.

I'm not gonna hate our run game as a whole :)

This place is eat up with dumb threads.

I agree, but I have to kill time between now and the game on Monday, so I'm as happy as a pig in slop that we have this forum.

Over 200 yards in two consecutive games is attainable? I beg to differ.

mind telling us who is better?

Larry Johnson is better than Gore (better reciever/goalline runner)

Travis Henry is better than Gore (makes things happen behind what is certainly a worse line)

McCallister is better than Gore (splitting carries but he is)

I would make a case for Marion Barber and Tiki Barber but thats hard to tell.

I have not read anything in this thread.

I do not want to.

Based on the title alone, I can assume the author is an imbecile and the subject matter is completely worthless.

Um... Gore isn't splitting carries.

That always helps.

Well because JJ cant be a full time feature back. He wouldnt last the season. Why do you think BP has his splitting time.

Yeah, but......he's not really producing when he is in there. As of late anyway. Of course this is all relative to the early Julius.

While Julius is not putting up the exact same numbers as Gore.. to say he is not producing "statisically" is incorrect

Julius Jones
247/1019 4.1 ypc 4 TD

Frank Gore
271/1491 5.5 ypc 6 TD

The guy said "as of late".. and in that regard, he's right. While JJ averaged like 4.5 YPC before the switch to Romo (coincidentally or otherwise), it's been 3.7 since then. And thats aided a lot by the 77 yard run. But for that one play it would be like 3.2 YPC.
