Does Monday's news temper your enthusiasm for today?

Some people view the first day of free agency like Christmas. I kind of feel a little wind out of the sails. Maybe that will change come 4pm.

It absolutely ruined any anticipation I had for today. I'm really not expecting anything today for the Cowboys now, to be totally honest.

It mostly tempers my enthusiasm for the NFL. It's difficult to take anything the league does seriously anymore. What they're doing is simply wrong, and they've lost credibility in my eyes.

Yes for sure. I was excited at what we might do. Now I'm just worried and hopeful we can still do some positive things.

a bit but I still think the Cowboys will still be active in the FA market.

Wasn't expecting much to begin with. I've lost all faith in JJ. Can't wait for the day he is gone. He has destroyed the Cowboys that I have loved for over 35 years.

I like the "what if" element whenever its in play.

But I'm a cautious free agency shopper when it comes to the big money deals because they are such a two-edged sword.

There are some on this site however who have champagne on ice & a supply of razor blades right next to it.

Its nowhere near that meaningful in reality.

Of course....

Its changed my way of thinking though. Id rescind the franchise offer to Spencer and take my chances with someone a lot cheaper at this point.

I think you'll see us resign Robinson and Fiametta. I've also heard we're gonna try and grab Chris Myers pretty quickly.

Nothing earth-shattering but still something hopefully.

I feel the same way as many others in this post. While I know that we can realistically go after the guy/s we want if we restructure existing contracts, I just feel that we may have lost an aggressive edge.

There was nobody I was truly in love with this free agency that Monday's news impacts. I don't think Mario Williams is the best pass rusher in football and I don't want us paying him as such. Brandon Carr and Cortland Finnegan are both above-average starting cornerbacks and if we can't pay them like All-Pro's I can live with that. Nicks is a premium player at a non-premium position and I think we're better off with 3 "B to C+" guys there as opposed to an A and two D's (or last years 3 D's). Peyton and VJax are not needed, and everyone else we can still afford.

I was excited....the but the crap the NFL threw at us has put a damper on this FA period

Its even put a damper on what I think about the NFL in general.

IMHO The league has become a joke..... Its not the same as it was......were a glorified CFL now

We have seen teams cheat....we have seen teams put bounties on players...etc....swept under the rug.....and now we have teams who followed the rules and still get punished...

A NFC East owner pushing to punish two other NFC East owners....go figure...
