That was inspirational. I think I've stumbled upon our offense's identity counterpart.

I'd like to see them become a strong running team, but, honestly, I don't think their OL is good enough to pull it off. For all of their bluster and bulk, this OL tends to tire themselves out at least as much as they tire defenses. They usually fade late in games.
In the longer term, I suspect that Garrett's Chaos Theory offense makes it more difficult to build a coherent unit. How do you find the players who best fit your scheme if you are doing your best at avoiding being predictable? What kind of players fit a Chameleon offense?

I'll tell you exactly what Garrett's offense reminds me of.
Think back to those interviews that Tom Landry gave shortly after he was let go. When asked what went wrong with the team during his final years, Landry said his most basic mistake was attempting to "mix philosophies" (his and Paul Hackett's).
It appears to me that Garrett is recreating the same mistake.

We've ran the ball. You can't run the ball every down. We were stuck with a banged up RB and one healthy RB in our last game and the opposing defense was sticking 8 or 9 guys in the box. That tells me our identity is a running offense, but if your QB can't beat the defense when they stack the box like that, it's time to find a new QB.

And I couldn't agree more. Garrett is even coaching like he's competing for the job next year, getting way too cute when he doesn't need to.
Because Cameron took the tutelage of Flacco seriously. He also has a nice play-action passing attack, while Garrett runs out of shot-gun all day long and can't keep the defense honest.Smith22;2996607 said:The Ravens were a running team last year, now they are pass happy and having success.
I think the Boys just need to concentrate on playing nasty, tough, physical football and the rest will fall into place. Games are won in the trenches.
