Does Prescott or Rush provide Cowboys best opportunity for success duration of the season

You know what you have in Rush, you can gameplan with that. You have no idea what you are going to get week to week from Dak.

You go with Cooper.

Rush is a perfect backup and we're lucky to have him. I think Dak is the higher upside and better player when healthy.

I also believe the coaching staff has learned a TON about this team coaching through constraint of a backup, and needs to consider their approach once Dak is healthy. Similar thing happened in the Romo years - the offense ran too much through just Romo, and got so much better when he executed a system around him.

Honestly they are about the same. Dak probably a little more but you go with the guy who's winning untill there needs to be a change.

Hopefully everyone is excited and thrilled with the outstanding job Rush has done. It’s definitely well above most expectations . Our season is still in full force as a result. He’s performed well within the game plan making key plays and throws. He’s no doubt solidified warranting a contract. We finally have a backup QB who can come and win some games for us.

This thread isn’t intended to be about who is our best choice for this week . The fact Rush is playing well hopefully enables the powers that be the luxury of holding Prescott out longer if needing to fully recover.

This discussion should entail who is our best choice for the duration of the season. I’ve seen some who have suggested we keep Rush in and therefore bench Prescott . I can’t imagine this thought reflects the majority of Cowboy fans. I’d like to hear the arguments .

It doesn't matter neither are going to take us to the promise land. At best there might be a one or two game win difference between the two. Going deep within the playoffs is not going to happen with any QB on our current roster.

What I find hilarious in this whole situation is all these people that thought Dak was such a great QB is now having a hard time defending him against a walk on QB that no other team even wanted.

Bottom line is Rush was a undrafted player for a reason, he is serviceable and can drive the bus but dont expect much more then that out of him. The same can be said for Dak.

I love what Rush has done so far, but I can't escape this feeling he's due for a clunker. I hope he gets to start the next 2 games as those games will say a lot about what we can expect from him and what this team's upside is with him at the helm. I'm pulling for the guy, but I'm still in evaluation mode as far as his future role is concerned.

Dak deserves a chance to bounce back from the egg he laid in the opener. If he comes back and plays like he did against Tampa, give me Cooper Rush.

So, you think Jethro is going to bench his 40 million QB?

How can a fan say that he knows Dallas can't win any game ? How can you be a fan and say we have zero chance to win a playoff game/ Super Bowl as a state of YOUR team.

Seriously when did the fanbase become so spineless. Man I 'm sorry but I do not want to be numbered with you. I mean how am I going to say I'm a Cowboys fan and say we can't win with Cooper Rush after what he has been able

to accomplish. We can win in LA , with Cooper Rush ./ we can win with Dak Prescott We may not but how are we any different from the other 32 teams

But hey that's just how I roll

Dak is the better qb by a lot, hopefully hes been watching a lot of tapes and working on how is going to read plays both presnap and as the develop.
people keep saying that, so elaborate in what ways is he better by a lot ?????????????
except for running with the ball I dont see anything else he is better at.

Nah, those games vs KC, Arizona and SF gave away some clues too.
Basically it's those games where the team needs dak to take his game to the next level and make the players around him better and take over a game! And I'm not talking about beating up on bad teams where the stat padding occurs. We've seen him fail time and time again in these type scenarios.

I can't see them operating on the throwing hand, and him being ready anyway. Just bracing himself from a hit, with that hand would probably screw it up again.
