Does RB Malik Davis make the Cowboys 53 man roster?

Luekpe's performance will play heavily into this. If he flames out, it's an easy decision to keep both Jones and Davis. If Luepke is a keeper, Davis will be in a battle with Jones for that roster spot. I'm assuming Deuce makes the team (although I'm skeptical of him long term).

Dallas is not keeping 5 RB's.

Now this is just my opinion and I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see Pollard carrying the load at RB. I mean someone has to do it. You can't go into the season with what we have at RB. Pollard, as of now, is the only proven back we have. Ronald Jones is very questionable, and Deuce is a small rookie. Davis is just a guy. I guess they are going to evaluate during preseason and maybe pick someone up? The problem with that is the good ones may be gone. We need a STRONG running game or we aren't going very far. ...JMO

Camp,.. Preseason...competition play (ala Jones, Deuce, Hunter Loop) or forbid, a serious injury one of these backs.... will likely decide Malik's roster fate.

Style of play dictates method of attack. Pollard will be protected by opponents having too much direction and speed along with movements to stop angles of attack.

Not all boils down into a straight ahead size versus size collision in the Dallas offense. How are you going to defense something like Pollard, Lamb, Cooks, and Deuce at the same time? Dallas does have pounders now and Dak Prescott can be used more in running as well...now.

The Cowboys have kept 4 TEs often, if Luepke can do most of what McKeon can do with rushing ability the spot could come from there. Jones likely has an edge, but Davis could play himself onto the roster..

They liked him so much he got not one snap when pollard got hurt in the Divisional round.

Not with Jerry's 'superstar' on the field. Can't let an undrafted FA show up a 16 million dollar RB. How stupid would the GM look in that situation? Sounds crazy but that's how this team was operating with Zeke here. Pollard was better and more explosive and still not getting the snaps he should have.

TP & Davis will be the primary backs. If Tony misses time for any reason, it wouldn't surprise me to see Davis put up some nice numbers. The others will be very limited unless injuries or something fluky.

At the end of the day, SEC background & a year of the NFL under his belt. We should all be hoping that he solidifies the RB group because after him is when you get into the unknown \ unproven.

Ever stick with topic? You have a really I.Q. on basics of football 101? Not prove it without insult. Pollard had to outshine a true first round and multiple rushing runner first. Wasn't easy until Zeke Elliott's load wore him down in production. Pollard is paid now, path to success. Now we shall see how long he is given the lead bell!

Jerry, berry, fo fairy...dairy!

It's Pollards 5th year. lol It's no secret he's been better for quite some time. This didn't just happen last season. You love defending Jerry anyway so this is right up your alley. It took an actual coach to make this change or he'd probably still be here.
