If Pollard goes down we're toast.
There are legitimate runners on the sidelines still...me, I'm not looking for the parting of the Red Sea, Perhaps with the Gulf Coast! If Pollard goes down we're toast.
Great pointLuekpe's performance will play heavily into this. If he flames out, it's an easy decision to keep both Jones and Davis. If Luepke is a keeper, Davis will be in a battle with Jones for that roster spot. I'm assuming Deuce makes the team (although I'm skeptical of him long term).
Dallas is not keeping 5 RB's.
I just finished reading Jimmy Johnsons book. It explains Jerry and his "way" perfectlyNot with Jerry's 'superstar' on the field. Can't let an undrafted FA show up a 16 million dollar RB. How stupid would the GM look in that situation? Sounds crazy but that's how this team was operating with Zeke here. Pollard was better and more explosive and still not getting the snaps he should have.
I think Davis showed a lot of promise in the few opportunities he's had. He seems to have a decent combination of slipperiness, power, and quickness. He's not #1 in any category, but a good blend of all of them, much like Sherman Williams was, back in the day.Now this is just my opinion and I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see Pollard carrying the load at RB. I mean someone has to do it. You can't go into the season with what we have at RB. Pollard, as of now, is the only proven back we have. Ronald Jones is very questionable, and Deuce is a small rookie. Davis is just a guy. I guess they are going to evaluate during preseason and maybe pick someone up? The problem with that is the good ones may be gone. We need a STRONG running game or we aren't going very far. ...JMO
Bingo....I could see if we were down by 3 tds but the defense held that bunch to just 19 and the game was within reachThey liked him so much he got not one snap when pollard got hurt in the Divisional round.
I think so too. It’s guaranteed at this point with how poorly the FO handled the RB position thus far.
Yeah, that's why he didn't play. Not with Jerry's 'superstar' on the field. Can't let an undrafted FA show up a 16 million dollar RB. How stupid would the GM look in that situation? Yeah, that's why he didn't play.
No idea. Maybe he can't pass block.Zeke wasn't doing anything and you have another RB dressed, fresh and ready to go, but choose to continue doing nothing instead of at least giving him a shot. I guess that will remain a mystery! You could talk about how much he sucks, but then he shouldn't have been active at all if that's the case.
How much experiments come the way of an important playoff game against a proven opponent? He hadn't earned enough attaboys to get into the picture at that point. Get more realistic here.Zeke wasn't doing anything and you have another RB dressed, fresh and ready to go, but choose to continue doing nothing instead of at least giving him a shot. I guess that will remain a mystery! You could talk about how much he sucks, but then he shouldn't have been active at all if that's the case.
HIs descent into mental illness was sad to see. He was a talented runner particularly for a 5th rounder.I think so too.
This reeks badly of the underwear thief year.
I could understand the point if he wasn't outplayed by Pollard regularly long before the playoff game. So we can suck with one RB or the other.. and still lose! lol But when the team comes out afterwards and talks about how he hasn't lost a step, that is most certainly a problem. No idea. Maybe he can't pass block.
Considering Zeke was garbage the entire game should tell you you need to try something different or at the very least sprinkle in a few carries when you're about to go home for the season which is exactly what happened anyway! How much experiments come the way of an important playoff game against a proven opponent? He hadn't earned enough attaboys to get into the picture at that point. Get more realistic here.
