Does Skyler make this team?

i think he makes the team as a KR/PR. no way in hell does he line up at WR.

He never was expected to do that by Parcells - at least not in year 1.

Green's play to this point hasn't done anything to impress me, and it looks like I'm far from being alone on here with my take on Green. Unless Green begins showing something from this point on, I don't think that even his fourth round draft spot should warrant him being on the roster. He hasn't shown enough quickness/elusiveness or speed to make the roster, IMO.

Color me unimpressed so far. Does he make the team? I'll let you know after the next 2 preseason games.

Skylar is gone, unfortunately. There is some good depth at wide receiver and he was beat out by the undrafted free agents. That's life.

Glenn, Owens and Crayton are obviously the top three. I think Hurd has made the team, he continues to impress and Bill started him opposite of Glenn tonight. Even though I think Rector has shown something in the pre-season, I'd guess that Bill will stick with Copper as the #5 because of what he has shown on special teams.

There's no way that Bill keeps 6 receivers. The opposite really, last year he only kept 4 active most games.

way too early.

this is PRE season

yeah, but isnt that when a player(rookie especially) makes the team or not? are they suppose to keep him around until week 10 or something and then cut him loose?

The excuse he has done nothing can no longer be said. He hd a really good return there at the end.

you have to make people miss as you head upfield, not sideway to sideway!!!

with a return guy you really need to see what he did in practice -- even the good ones only have a handful of long returns each year. The games give you too small a sample - long returns are few and far between.

He's already had 1 20+ yard punt return. One of the best returners in the game, Dante Hall averages about 3 of those a year.

Special teams play will not be enough for Copper to make the team. Parcells already dumped a better special teams player (Randall Williams) when he continued to show that he would never amount to being a decent WR. Right now, Copper is our 7th best WR. Last year, he was our 5th best. I just don't see him making the roster, unless he really shows something this year. I also think the additions of Elam and Watkins on special teams make him expendable.

Interesting tidbit I would think it would be more. Regardless I see something special in Green.

there was nowhere to go upfield on that one.

it wasn't like he was running backwards to make stuff happen
