Is it just me guys or does Taco Charlton look thinner, faster, and more flexible by the day?

Honestly, I saw a player with really heavy hands and feet at Michigan, during the draft, and during the OTA's and start of camp. But seeing this guy in practice recently and watching these latest preseason games, he looks like a different player out there to me.

Is anyone else seeing this or is this a kool-aid induced hallucination on my part?

Players look smaller in the NFL because they are playing with bigger players. Same in the NBA.

Not really Stash. I mean, I saw a kid who had a pretty good first step and really long reach at Michigan. At that level, he could lean on guys, had enough strength to bend a little. He was never a guy who could just beat you off the snap and be on the QB. He never had DeWare type quicks but he had something. I just think somebody is working with the kid and teaching him how to use his hands, how to set up guys on the pass rush and maybe watching some film on guys playing across from him.

He's gonna take some time because when the real games start, he's going to get abused but eventually, he will learn some things and he might end up being a guy who can contribute for us. Still don't see him as the pass rusher that gets you home when you really need it thou.

He looks better to me, too. Though I agree, he wasn't very impressive to begin with.

He's got he frame, and appears to have the mentality. If he can contribute this year and build gradually over the next few seasons, he'll have been worth the late first round pick.

I agree that he will never be Ware, but he just looks better to me than the player I saw before. Quicker, less plodding.

He does look like TC has chiseled or shaped him up physically. I have not seen enough to weigh in on whether I feel he's going to be effective with his transition so far. I keep trying to find a veteran DE that he emulates or reminds me of and can't pin him down yet. Hope to see him grow game by game as he needs some consistency in his game.

From what I have been told, Charlton is a bust, and it was written in stone after the Hall of Fame Game.

Must be a hallucination.

It must be a group hallucination. His spin move has improved a lot. The kid is putting in the necessary work to be good. Time will tell if he has the talent to be great.

I drank the koolaid. He does look thinner and faster. Especially when you compare to how he looked like during the combine. His combine pretty much sucked. He looked slow and lathergic.

Therefore, I'm kinda surprised as his actually quick and be able to get off the ball.

His negatives I see is his inability to use his hands as leverage and seems to use that spin move way too often. He needs to use his hands more and have better moves.

I think he needs to work on his balance. I still see that being an issue for him quite often.

I think the spin move is looking better each time I see it. His only issue with it now is hitting it from too far out....gotta be making some contact before doing it or OL can just readjust.

I also think he looks thinner and more athletic. I think he is coming around.

A little Jim Jeffcoat in him.
