Does the 6th for Pitt bother Jerry?

Does it maybe send a message that HIS way DOES NOT work...that you better find coaches that are not puppets, players that understand the concept of team, and that having the media swarm around nonsense from the lockerroom IS NOT good for your team....

Remember, they were 2 super bowls behind Dallas as the decade began...

Sadly, I don't think it will matter to him...

Not at all. I've worked for a boss like Jerry. It's his way or the highway. Can things be improved? You better not mention it to him for fear of hurting his ego.

He should be bothered by our 7th (loss that is), not someone else's win.

Of course it matters to Jones. You don't think he would've given anything to be on the podium last night celebrating the franchises 6th super bowl. Jerry hates losing more than some of these players. I 've never questioned his desire to win, but just the way he goes about it. You better believe jerry's been soaking this in and will make changes. Last night was a bitter pill for him to swallow, because most of the experts had us in the super bowl.

Jerry's ego trumps winning. He just won't admit it, but the proof is in the pudding. He is the only constant in the last 13 years of crap. If winning meant more to Jerry he would step aside and hire a better man for the job of GM.

I think we saw Jerry forget some of the lessons he learned from BP this last year. Questionable character guys like Pacman were brought in, and it has back fired.

He's been out to prove that he can win without Jimmy Johnson for years now. He knows that almost no one gives him any credit for those SB wins, and most of the accolades are given to Johnson. Forget that Jerry brought Jimmy in, etc.

Though I think alot of Jerry's actions are detrimental to the team...especially when it comes to him giving post game talks, and his involvement in the daily runnings of the team (beyond front office stuff).

But as much as people want to point at Jerry, and it is not all unwarranted, people attribute too much of the blame to Jerry. You can point the finger at him for creating a circus like atmosphere, sure. But at the end of the day, the players did not EXECUTE.

In a league where talent is spread quite evenly accross the league, coaching and roster management are huge parts of building success. But at the end of the day, it comes down to the 11 guys that are on the field at any one time.

god I hope so...

it bothers the hell out of me

It took us from 1979 until 1995 to finally pass them in superbowls wins...

10 year run ahead of them in total superbowl wins 95-00. it was sweet we got number 5 vs Pittsburgh and crushed the hearts of steeler nation in 1996. I love that, BUT since then well you all know the story.

We MUST win next season superbowl.

You would think after 13 years he would learn though.

Am I wrong?

Jerry wants to win so badly that he'll take massive risks, knee-jerk reactions, insane decisions, short-cuts, and ridiculous other oddities to prove he's a football man.

In 13 years, he's proven that he's incapable of running this team.

If he continues with what he's doing, we're looking at a losing season next year, and the door for the post season will close for another half decade.

It's all part of Jerry's plan. He wants the cowboys to wait until they are hosting the Super Bowl in the new stadium before the cowboys get to, and win, another Super Bowl.

Geez...you guys. I mean the plan is as plain to see as the wrinkles on his face.

We'll his ego allowed him to hire Parcells. Jerry, other than the T.O decision gave parcells control. I didn't hear anyone crying about jerry's ego then. The 2008 draft class was great. Jerry isn't the problem, the problem is we have a bunch of gutless, underperforming players who fold in the face of adversity. Until the players take accountability, we will continue to be paper champions and that's not Jerry's fault.

Jerry is the cause of the lack of accountability from the players.

He's the root of the problem.

Heck, I'm not at fault if my kids are doing drugs.

Let me get this straight.

You show up to a job interview, you have the credentials for a job, you interview well and you are hired. You do not perform. It's really ALL your bosses fault because he hired you?

I can meet you half way and agree that Jerry has been putting the teams together for the last 12+ years. And I agree, there should be a dissenting voice to counter Jerry.

And I'll agree even further that some of the questionable signings really can be placed squarely on Jerry. But come on. Is he really supposed to have the foresight to see that our OL can't adjust to losing Kyle Kosier?

So to ask you a straight forward question. Do you assign any of the blame to the players not doing their job, or does it all come back to Jerry because he "hired" the player.

But all these hypotheticals go back to the person performing the action.

You can tell your kids drugs are bad. You can warn them about the legal implications. All that.

When they go out on a friday night, they have to decide what to do.

The only way you can bring this whole analysis back to Jerry/Wade is that the parents cought the kid coming home high/drunk, and did and said nothing about it.

But again, the payers need to execute, just like your kids need to make their own decisions...be they smart or stupid ones.
