I think we saw Jerry forget some of the lessons he learned from BP this last year. Questionable character guys like Pacman were brought in, and it has back fired.
He's been out to prove that he can win without Jimmy Johnson for years now. He knows that almost no one gives him any credit for those SB wins, and most of the accolades are given to Johnson. Forget that Jerry brought Jimmy in, etc.
Though I think alot of Jerry's actions are detrimental to the team...especially when it comes to him giving post game talks, and his involvement in the daily runnings of the team (beyond front office stuff).
But as much as people want to point at Jerry, and it is not all unwarranted, people attribute too much of the blame to Jerry. You can point the finger at him for creating a circus like atmosphere, sure. But at the end of the day, the players did not EXECUTE.
In a league where talent is spread quite evenly accross the league, coaching and roster management are huge parts of building success. But at the end of the day, it comes down to the 11 guys that are on the field at any one time.
