after forcing myself to listen to the fans pregame show all year. I know this, larry brown is an idiot.

I think yesterday's nonsense from him was enough to just make me go back to listening to the ticket and just forgetting about the good stuff with mickey and kristie scales. I cant take the fan anymore.

Yesterday, mickey came on the pregame show to do a live report from the meadowlands. he must have been listening before and he came on and said Why are you guys talking about romo going to vegas. That is all that larry brown talked about....he was blaming the team for losing the game before it was even played on romo going to vegas.

So mickey comes on and says to larry, what did you do on the friday after thanksgiving? Larry was getting really angry and he said he stayed home and relaxed with his family, to which mickey replied, so you didnt go out and cover anyone or catch punts...? Larry then said sometimes he did watch film but he wasnt allowed to go anywhere because we had practice on saturdays.......

Mickey then responded by saying I was there for every practice every year, jimmy never once had a saturday practice after thanksgiving and the guys did what they wanted...

Larry got really quiet and they changed the subject...Mickey actually called him out and proved him to be a liar and basically said the guys here did nothing wrong.

so right after the game, guess what larry brown did, he blamed the game on romo going to vegas and how the team has no focus beacause romo doesnt....

I am all done listening to brown, jagger and whitt on the pregame show. I will never listen to those guys again.

Oh, that is so awesome...

Brown really went off the rails yesterday after the game. He basically was blaming everything on the guys getting the weekend off. I thought, are you kidding me? They had a game on Thursday. I started to look up and confirm that Coughlin didn't have his guys in pads on Friday morning, but knew it wasn't worth the trouble.

Anyway, great job Mickey. That rules.

I just dont think Jerry is the cause of the mistakes happening on the field.

There is mental issues that occur on the field that Jerry and Wade have absolutely nothing to do with.

You have to blame the players at some point. Its easy as hell to blame Jerry or Wade but this team is under such scrutiny that they know what ails them and no matter how much it is instilled into them they still make those mistakes.
Of course you blame the players.

They make the mistakes.

However, you cannot absolve the enablers, namely Jones and Phillips.

Players are going to make mistakes and they should be held accountable. Part of the job of the decisionmakers is to make sure they aren't repeated.

[strike]The head coach [/strike] Jones should have been furious with the mistakes. There is simply no room for error in big games and unfortunately, we always make that one back-breaking mistake, that one play where we didn't close the deal. We go through the motions too much and our highs are overcelebrated, but our lows are rarely expanded upon.

What did we get after the game? A glum Jones who really is at a loss for words. A Wade Phillips "it's okay" commentary.

Par for the course for an organization that gets overly celebratory over what should be business as usual. There is no middle ground, no even keel. That's part of learning how to be a consistent winner.

I always start my audio recording of the game right after the inactive report or right before the "owners box" segment with kristie and jerry.

I am so mad I didnt get this recorded. Larry just got quiet. He tried to bring it up again and said something about the cowboys in the 90s being a young team and very immature. He said jimmy was scared to death of irvin having days off....!

Mickey got him pretty good though yesterday. Whitt, jagger and brown spent nearly two hours talking about romo going to vegas. they took calls from all kinds of people blaming romo for everything. Never one mention of austin being with him or how long the two were gone and back....just that romo went to vegas and this team doesnt focus.

I will never, ever listen to larry brown again.

Yeah, I flipped over there before the game and the Vegas trip was all they were talking about, too. I immediately went over the the Ticket where Sturm was talking about something of substance.

Too bad the official pregame is such a disaster... Thanks, Jerry. I feel bad for people outside the DFW area who have no other option.

They were playing like they just got back from Vegas or something, except for that Romo and Miles had great games.;) Barber lost the rock, which I think was the biggest momentum changer in the game. It comes down to not making mistakes, and this was definitely not on Romo.

I wouldn't say that's focusing on the game either. But as people have said, people need their time for their personal lives. It's not like they have 7 months of the year to do so.

I'm in the minority that sees this Vegas trip as a distraction. But I don't think it hurt us this time, yet I don't see why these trips can't wait until after January. My feeling on it is, we haven't won anything yet. So why are we celebrating. If what you care about is football, then hold some of that balled up energy to "let loose" inside, and let it loose on game day like a coiled up serpent snake.

I just think there are better things for them to do. Again, I'm not saying they lost because of this trip. But I don't think it was necessary either.

However, should that have been the focus of the show? Certainly not.

Yeah, I remember that happening, and what did 13-3 get them? False hope.

JG will not be around next season I don't believe, so that means a new OC and new ideas. New Players, etc. We have all seen that movie before. We just need the patience if that happens.

yeah but you didnt get my point,
if wade can come in and get the cowboys to a 13-3 record during the season
then what would happen if you get a head coach that kicks rear ends and has players play with intensity, urgency, etc

ok, i did not know that, you proved me wrong about what larry brown said, when i am wrong i admit it

but i still think this teams needs a Head Coach that has won before in big games, playoff games, championship games like Jimmy Johnson did in college, and eventually did in the pros

I still feel that a person that has psychology major like jimmy did, he knew how to find players, motivate players, kick their rear end when he needs too and the biggest bottom line, Jimmy hated to lose, i dont think really personally doesnt bother wade to lose, not personally

I want a head coach that hates to lose and instills that in his players

:hammer: You hit the nail on the head, that has to come from the head coach, and oked by the owner.

That is my point, thanks Alexander

I posted a december win loss percentage on wade's wins and losses in denver, buffalo and dallas, did you see it alexander, then yahoo sports did an article on wade where he loses in december, etc.

Now what do you zoners say about that, and dont give me that, its stats or another year, You are What you Are, parcells always said, wade has never basically won in december and january or big games, etc.

Unlike Jimmy Johnson who won in college level in big games and in the pros.

I think we have to have a leader this is a proven winner that can lead this team. Now who that is, I dont know, but to me thats what we need, this theology by wade, winning breeds winning, sure didnt work in new york did it?

And what about wade's percentage in december wherever he has coached at? He is a loser there, has to be a reason for it.

I record the radio broadcasts with a small 5 gb creative muvo jukebox.

I dont think they make them anymore. I only paid 30 bucks for mine. I think they have replaced that line, I bought it in 04. Just look for a mp3 player that allows fm recording and you will be good to go.
